Olds those SMC lipos are fantastic, I have one pair that's going on 5 years although not as powerful as new they still hold a charge well and no swelling. In fact all my lipos are SMC, I've only had one pack swell on me and that's because I dropped it, I called the company told them the exact truth and they warrantied it for me still. They said since it's a hard case it sshouldn't have done that. So excellent customer service to boot. I always storage charge and balance charge maybe thats why my packs have been good to me.

Electric motors last a long time, as long as treated right. I've run my Savage flux in a 100°+ never had a thermal shutdown once, granted I'm easy on the throttle those types of days and mainly just hit a ramp I made. You know how to treat a nitro engine, you'll be fine with an electric, just watch your temps. That goes for the ESC as well.

That's all very promising to hear.

Electric motors should last considerably longer than a notro as the only contact parts are the bearings. Keep track of them and the heat and you should be goid a long while

Of the 2 sets of lipos i own. 1-A/1-B. 2A/2B the 1 set has been giving me issues. Set 2 seem good to go after 2. Years of storage no on trickle-charge.
I am thinking that set1 may have had connector issues and i am trying to re-solder those rotten connectors back to them.

Had an opportunity to run my truck on set2 this morning before it thawed. No issues whatsoever with motor heading or scting goody

took esc out of truck foir the fifth and last time today....lol for a re-gear.
it had 44/20
changed to
48/16

So found out why my truck wouldnt start, lmao. So i swear it's looked like the line was full, comd to find out it wasn't. Hahahahha. Pulled the line off that leads from tank to carb, 0 fuel! I primed it thought it looked like fuel in the line. Fail. So it's running again. Problem is it freakin goes from 0 to redline fast. I tone it down then the fiddlesticker quits. My question is, used to when id hit the brakes it'd quit. Now it seems when i hit the throttle full itll quit. What's the issue? Too rich/lean? Or.is the carb not open enough.

If there was no fuel in the line ,then it makes sense that its too lean ,when you throttle it , its going into a lean bog
an dying ,that's also why it redlines ,it leans out before dying!

So just needs to b richer? Or do you think for some reason the fuel isnt consistent in getting from the tank to the carb?

That is possible ,the engine should start from factory needle setting ,factory sets would be your back-up starting point!
Start there an start tuning lean ,if it doesn't drawl fuel from the tank at factory set ,then something is definitely wrong!
You either have a blockage or an air leak somewhere!

You also have to make sure that both fuel lines are in their correct spots ,an the muffler line is just as important
as the fuel line that goes to the carb.! Make sure that the one line that goes to the muffler is not plugged ,because
you need that tank pressure to push the fuel up to the carb. from the muffler!......
If it is a nipple that is on the muffler ,make sure its not gummed up or plugged ,an if its just were the fuel line
slides in a hole in the muffler ,pull it out an cut the tip off in an angle an put it back in ,that so it doesn't bottom
out in the muffler causing it to plug up....

Makes sense, thanks. We'll wee when i can get to measin with it again. Bout to start getting colder out.

Gotcha!..
ran into a similar problem a few weeks ago with my Picco Xl(hadnt run these trucks in a couple years)
I knew it would run, but could not get it to fire. messed a couple hours with glowplugs and glow starters.
turned out, the fuellines were too long, specifically, the one providing pressure to the tank
