Hello. I'm interested in buying an RC Car. I can't spend more than 200 bucks and this car fits perfectly into the budget. It's a 1/10 scale electric Arrma Fury Mega 550 that comes with a charger and a 3300Mah battery. The battery should last around 45 minutes to an hour, compared to my friend's Traxxas because we have the same driving style. My question is: Should I buy this car? Is it worth it? I heard the servo direction is kinda weak, but at first it works. I will change everything tho, the motor to brushless motor etc and even custom back light mods with an Arduino board.
This is the car btw:

There are a few people around the forum with the Short Course Truck. You can search those threads or hopefully they'll stop by to deliver their thoughts. I just have to say, good for you knowing that RTR electronics are not top tier performers ✅ Parts support ✅ Since you already have direction with the notion to change everything on the platform, yes, you should buy it, and yes, it is worth it. Congratulations! You just talked yourself into getting the Fury.;)😁:thumbs-up:

I don't know. It fits your budget, upgradeable, ready to run, sounds good to me. I am a Traxxas man myself, but that sounds like a bargain.

I have 5 rwd rustlers, 1 4X4 rustler, 1 4x4 stampede, 1 slash, 1 "slagster" (homegrown slash dragster on low center gravity chassis) M41 Catamaran boat, Blast boat, and I used traxxas engine, radio, and battery to O.G. a 10 or 15 year old Yokomo 1:14 rwd buggy.

Wow, that’s quite a collection!

I own the fury...

It's fun to drive and very durable. Mine is still stock in all aspects that matter. Motor, esc, gearing, servo and tires. Using a 2s battery requires a move of the jumper on the esc and that's it. To me the truck has been worth it for sure, and has plenty of room for upgrades as you go.
The diff is huge, and everything mechanical will take brushless power no problem.
