Ya I've been taking advantage being home and not working any good day I get I'm out 5 min drive to my spot and been killing it!! Blew through 100mph goal and then 110 to 112mph so far. Definitely think now my Dumbo rx/tx is going to really limit me and of course a little bit of aero on the thin body but I'm absolutely stoked in a month went from 64mph PB to 112mph PB!!!

Looks like I still have room to maybe go to 34/34 gearing with the stock mount, this is what room I've got left with the 30t in now so definitely got room for a bigger pinion still ? Can't imagine when I can afford some 4s packs what she'll run on 8s, thinking 130s?

Ya that's what I'm thinking on investing in next the RC6GS V2, I've been recommended it by quite a few speed run guys as for a great upgrade that's still relatively cheap over the Dumbo. Also gives more fine tuneability and range so definitely been looking.

Yesterday's new 112mph PB run. Videos edited funny as I also was doing a CNHL vs Youme pack test and didn't want to give anything away in this video. Notice after reading GNSS I go to walking back to my car lol, went off the road trying to turn around after another pass.

Got some more goodies for the speed build? new 29t spool gear, 32t pinion, RC6GS V2 and a new motor fan. Going to keep the 30/34 gearing and see how much gain just the RC6GS V2 gives me over the 112mph PB with the DumboRC X6F I was fighting trim constantly. Then think I'll go to 30/29 should be 120's and then the madness of 32/29 see if I can push 130? Anyways lots of options and definitely more PB's to come!! Heading out in a few to hopefully push the 115mph mark with the new rx/tx wish me luck!

Well, just coming back here! I am always curious to see all the swap that we can make with this famous 6s chassis and reach special top speed at the same time. I like the heavy Mamba, huge gear, big fan set up etc...
I am doing outside carpet track during summer with a an old Senton 6s Chassis swap to a kind of Typhon and I am still enjoy it with buddys. Now, I am working on a B74 kit for the newest inside local dirt track.
So, I am not a top speed guy specialist!
Yes, great speed build.

So had to go to 32/29 gearing as stock mount won't mesh with 30/29. Not the best passes she wanted to veer left on me but still another PB of 114mph? still a lot in her should do 120+ just need some good weather to get her straightened back up and a good couple runs in. Here's the new PB runs

Picked up a TP 4050 2100kv motor and some CNHL racing series 90c 4s packs for 8s ?

But just picked up this beauty ? today on a killer deal so think after I break 120mph with the Typhon I'm stealing the MMX8S and putting the TP 4050 in the new Limitless. Typhon will go back to a badass track buggy for my track I'm in the middle of building.

Got out finally for some passes today with the Typhon GT. Made some 6s passes to make sure the TP motor was fixed as I had issues first run attempts with it due to bad solder joints. Anyways 6s passes were ok no PB but I also geared back down. Figured what the hell I'll give 8s a try, first pass on 8s new PB of 125mph!!

OK, man slacked big time on this build also... so after pushing 125mph on first and only 8s pass and picked up my Limitless the Typhon retired from speed running. Went back to a track buggy and basher for a few months. Now currently out of retirement but running open wheel and with a stretched (Kraton)chassis, mmx8s back in it, TP 4060 2620kv motor, ripple killer cap pack and RC on a budget Pinocchio spool.

Decided to see how far I can push on 4s and then when I feel I'm topped out will go to running 6s. So far cars done great first decent pass was 96mph, then next pass got it more straightened out ran 102mph, then 105,106 and today PB for the setup of 107mph on 4s. Still trying to top my Limitless 4s PB at 108mph but also that was running 4s in parallel with dual packs where I'm running a single pack in the Typhon due to less room.
