Just picked up a super clean Limitless roller for a steal! Has carbon fiber towers, and ackerman, aluminum chassis braces, Rcawd rear cvd drive shafts, Fast eddy sealed bearings, new body and new tires ? will be stealing the MMX8S Castle ESC from my Typhon GT speed rig after I break 120mph in the Typhon. Also have a TP 4050 2100kv motor and two CNHL racing series 4s packs coming for it. New Banana skins racing foams coming as well. Also will be putting the RC6GS V2 rx/tx in this build and just a spektrum S652 servo. Probably gear down to 26 or 27t pinion and 34t spool to start on 8s might even put in a larger spool and smaller pinion with the setup and work up getting used to the 8s

No not the BSR's, I've ran some Contact foams though. I've never heard of foam tires ballooning at least double in size, and I know the top speed runners in the world run this same exact set as do a lot of others. After 120+ the GRP's are destined to blow so foams are the only option. Have had a lot of help from some of the best and again they all run BSR's pulling 150+ with no issues besides traction. Now they are larger than the GRP's I'm running now, believe 103.5mm BSR and GRP are 98mm which will also come into play as 7mm is like a couple teeth up on the pinion.

So the Limitless came in today? got the battery tray removed and the motor mount flipped for the big TP 4070 1750kv motor coming? removed the front "air dam thingies" lol and going to trim the rear wing down as well. Got droop pretty much adjusted where I want it and shocks set as well. Now just waiting on the servo and motor before I steal the MMX8S and RC6GS V2 out of the Typhon GT. Also want to see what I can pull with the Typhon as tried 8s for the first time ever today in it and new PB of 125mph!!

Been a long while since I updated this build and man has it been a long journey. Currently running an xlx2 and 1717 1650kv system. Had issues running the stock length Scorched titanium center driveshafts at any 8s pass over 125mph as it would cause the motor to desync due to high vibration. Took a long 4 months for me to realize that's what it was as I figured it for sure had to do with either the motor itself or the esc. Was running a TP 4060cm 2080kv and mmx8s pulled a 138mph PB and then had the desync issue on every 8s pass after. So again thinking it was the motor or esc I first changed the motor to the 1717 1650kv and still got the issue. Then went to a new xlx2 and sure enough again had the same issue. As I said over 4 months I replaced almost everything on the car besides the center shafts as I just never thought that would be the cause. Recently picked up a new Pinocchio spool from RC on a budget with shorter center shafts and first 6s pass pulled 122mph which was a 2mph gain over the Scorched shafts. So thought ok maybe the issue was the shafts. Well sure enough made an 8s pass and pulled a 7mph gain at 144mph for a new PB with no desync issue.

What’s your spring and height setup I’m running a 1650 top 114

I've got the springs tightened all the way down front and rear and have front droop about 10+/-mm off the ground and rear about 35-40mm. I'm also running bsr foams that are 103mm and 2.8 diffs which add another 20+mph over stock Hoons and 3.3 diffs.

If you don’t mind me asking we’re did you get your diffs and do you were I can grab a flat carbon fiber wing

You can buy the 15/42 gearing lots of places. You'll want the Arrma felony/Infraction v2 gp5 set. You can buy the complete diff and drop it in from jennysrc.com or you can just buy the ring gears and input pinions from like Amain or eBay etc. For the wing again lots of people sell CF wings I'd suggest looking at basherqueen on ebay as Kimberly is an amazing person and also offers a 1 year crash back warranty on all her parts in the event you crash and break her parts she will replace them.

Thank you very much for the help I’ve been in rc for along time never really a number chaser so I figure I would try it and it’s addictive

Ya that's an understatement lol! Speed running is such a rush and very addicting as I've found out also. Started beginning of the year with my Typhon pushed it to 125mph then got my Limitless roller and went a bit crazy lol. But not bad in just 6 months started at 64mph with basically a stock Typhon then up to 138mph with the Limitless. Had issues last 4 months and was stuck in 130's replaced almost everything on the car including new esc, motors, lipos, etc literally alsomost everything and still has issue. Come to find out the stock length titanium shafts I was running caused to much vibration which was causing my motor to loose sync at 130mph+/-. Switched to a Pinocchio spool and finally fixed that issue so last and only pass since the fix pulled 6mph gain for a new PB at 144mph over my previous PB of 138. Now waiting to get a good calm day to run again and keep pushing to my goal of 150mph. Also I run my stretched Typhon with a 4/6s setup and going to see how high I can push on 4s and 6s. So far best 4s PB is 108mph and 6s PB at 126mph but both with the Limitless before I got the Typhon set up. So far Typhon has pulled 106mph on 4s and have yet to run a 6s pass as I just got the setup dialed in. I've had high voltage sag due to running just a 5000mAh 4s pack but I just picked up a 9500mAh 4s pack from my sponsor CNHL which should help keep voltage up and should start seeing some better numbers on 4s.

You running stock ride height I’m running a 1520 1650kv 34/34 top 114 I order the diffs I would be happy with 125 for like a day first limitless got on it mid run and the left rear exploded so now I’m on number two and have a third in box

Made a couple passes today both at 142mph so no new PB. Pretty sure was due to running the EC5 series connector to a EC5 to QS8 adapter as my new CNHL G+ 6000mAh packs came with EC5 so need to get them changed to QS8 but don't have any on hand. Logs look amazing didn't even pull 340A on the second pass so plenty of room to gear up for sure. So just went up 2 teeth and going to run the G+ 5000mAh packs I ran for my 144mph PB as they have QS8 connections.

142, is that all you've got? 🤣 Seriously, may not have been a PB but that is still movin' right along!

Ya the EC5 connections definitely made a big impact as should have seen a good 2-3mph gain with the 6Ah packs over the 5Ah I ran 144 with. Also was the very first cycle on the packs so they should heat up after a couple more cycles and I'll have QS8's soldered on by then which will help a lot also👍🏼

Here's the test passes I did between the G+ 70c 6000mAh and Racing Series 90c 9500mAh 6s packs. Tests were just too close of results and data so will be running them again under taller gearing which will be a harder load and should show more variance between the two. Also have QS8 connectors coming to get my G+ packs switched so no EC5 adapter crap which adds resistance.
