Edough's RC Arrma Typhon 6s v5 speed run build

Started as a stock v5 Typhon with a 18t pinion change, hot racing center diff mount and cover and some dual fans PB of 64mph. Now she's got some new shoes (GRP s3 revos) a 23t pinion and slammed down low. Coming soon a 42t spool...

@Edough13 that's a great looking Typhon, but it looks a bit slower than @Notorious J's since it doesn't have an ArrmaForum or RCTalk decal.

No, it acc did happen. I did it on my phone's GPS. I just got the Garmin 201.

Still waiting on an actual run video of some kind @Exc3l...... Ended up getting out today for some runs, not the best by any means but pulled a new PB of 75 ? still need to make some adjustments, replace the RX as my antenna is toast and still have a lot more gearing to play with. Anyways beyond stoked to pull 75 as it was a short pull due to range issues and I'm geared a bit conservative to get a feel of the changes and higher speeds.

Did you forget I am in the north pole? I don't mean to be like your neighbor but honestly, I have the Arrma 6s system and I think you have the stock 6s system as well. You have the 6s Typhon, and I have the 3s Typhon. My car is much lighter and basically the same amount of power I think,(I know) my car is faster. I felt so bad writing this and I am sorry if you think of me as your neighbor?. I will try to get some runs in. I ordered some extra hoons because my current ones are basically bald. I also need to go to Home Depot and pick up some thread lock and I need a new 26t pinion. I will most definitely tell my little brother to film. lol. Wish you the best.. It will be fun to see my and your results.?. Oh and North pole= snow for along time. You will probably have to wait till March to see me get a good run in.

Maserati GT body came in today got it all trimmed up. Also getting the new MMX8S mounted and ready to go? Holy cow I did not realize how big these GT body's are though, hope I got enough paint ??

Limitless spool finally came today after taking a detour through Hawaii from being shipped Florida to California? Wasn't planning on such a big jump as I was hoping to run a smaller pinion but stock motor mount will only allow for smallest pinion 26t with the 32t spool. Good size jump over the 42t spool and 25t pinion my last runs, but a jump from 76mph to 100+ shouldn't be that bad right??

Ok she is ?% done and ready to go! Here's the body all done, not exactly as I wanted but still came out great. Arrma Typhon GT (8s capable) ??

Very, very nice, i dig the mas body, the modern stuff sure make my stuff look Jurassic but my real car is 52 years old so at least I'm consistent with my antiquities.

Went out for some test runs with all the changes, new body new ESC 26/34 gearing. Started on just 3s to make sure she went down the road straight and the body didn't turn into a parachute, did 50mph which is what I expected on 3s. Everything felt good so decided to toss my new CNHL 6s 90c pack but limit my throttle at about 70% as again just doing some feeling out runs. Surprised the $hit out of myself hit a new PB of 84mph and on only 70%!!! 100mph club here I come!!

Made a few changes recently, finally was able to program the ESC, just bought a 30t pinion, added a front bumper, heavier shock oil in rear for squat and realized I had not changed my rear diff oil from stock so was running the 10k lol at 101mph! Oh ya here's the latest PB video did 101mph on 26/34 gearing?

Another new PB today of 108mph!! Running 30/34 gearing, CNHL 5200mAh 90c 6s pack. First run(107mph) was great but shorter distance as I had a garbage truck parked by my normal start point. Second run (108mph) was kinda all over so hoping next time out I can get her straightened up and hit that 110mph ?
