The topic title was not the easiest to make clear to understand!
Basically, I have a Maverick Quantum RX Flux and I will be cutting out a roughly 28x28mm square in the black section on the front of the shell and fitting one of these lamps.
I will still want the shell water-resistant, and I also want to protect the lamp itself.
What material is usually used to fill in the gaps around the lamp (where it joins the shell) and/or what can I place in front of the lamp to restore the shell a little?
