and filling the tyre with expanding foam to stop it ballooning, thinking about how expanding foam works, it sticks to everything within the space it is injected to, anyway i am gonna do it for a bit of fun.

On the carbon inner body shells, wow they are solid, i would say you could put some serious weight on them without them deforming, lastly i am today fabricating some mt10 rival body support and posts in metal,

I shall update with some photos later today. Aitch

Looking For Wtf GIF by Looney Tunes

Get some action photos/vids if you can, please.

I'm picturing that plastic pop bottle RC video.

Having worked with expanding foam I think the issues are numerous. How do you get it to cure in the shape you want? Balance might be difficult.

So let's theorize that it's cured round, how much impact with they take before they crumble?

I genuinely hope you succeed so we can see what happens 🙂

Why exactly do you want to try the expanding foam in your tires? You mention ballooning, but that can be mitigated somewhat with diff fluid tuning. There are belted tires available as well that are not prone to ballooning.
With all the messin with expanding foam I have done (high end 2 part for boats, spray foam, can foam, you name it...), seems like after the first run, it will be completely deformed and crushed.

nothin wrong with trying though, as they say, necessity is the mother of invention. Maybe you are on to something?

Have you ever thought about why manufacturers don't fill their tires full of expanding foam before they sell the kits?
I'll try to explain the best I can as to why it's not a great idea.
Two things actually will happen, #1 you will ruin a set of wheels and tires.
#2 the amount of surface of the tire will remain the same under load as well as just sitting there, another
words, you will seriously lose grip because the amount of tire making contact to the surface you are running won't change,
if that makes sense.
You will lose much needed grip at high speeds.
During heavy acceleration and braking, you won't gain any needed surface for better grip.

That makes sense because it won't conform to the surface, like PowerWheels tires.

@Aitch we appreciate the question and we're certainly not laughing at you so please don't take it that way but
in reality, it isn't a good idea at all. You will lose serious stability with the car.
Rock hard tires are going to transfer shock to the next weakest point and break other parts. The tires and foams supplied helps with shock reduction.

Running droop is key for handling. Also greasing the rear diff helps it diffing out
