Ok
On Ebay ther are 2 very good Mammoth STs.

Also there are some Hyper 7 Buggys.

They both i think will go for near £170 ($340)

What do you thinks best for a runabout (not a race) Off roader.

Oh and also can anyone find much info for the Academy RT4 GP

My dads got one and i'm wondering if there is many places to get spares.
And is there is any parts compatibility between any ohter trucks.

Thanks

The mammoth ST would be better for off roading. I've had a buggy and a mammoth. The mammoth has a few weak spots, but it got around ok where the buggy didn't. Buggies just sit too low. Granted, the mammoth didn't sit much higher, but it seemed to handle rough stuff better and it didn't get high centered on stuff as easy.

Weak spots of the mammoth are the stock chassis braces, two speed gears, diffs and rear hinge pin brace.

If you replace the two speed with a center diff ($50), then the two speed gears are no longer a problem and the front/rear diffs last a lot longer since there is some "give" in the driveline.

Dadders makes a nice set of chassis braces, but they are pricey. I think dadders also makes a hinge pin brace that is sweet, but again, pricey.

I milled a hunk of aluminum to stiffen the hinge pin brace and I used 5/16" steel round bar and made my own chassis braces for the rear. After that and swapping out the two speed for a center diff, I didn't have any issues.

I would say go with the truck.

I have a H7 and Revo and if you like the track the Buggy would be a good bet, because of what olds said, your low. Same reason they arent the best for bashing, with a truck you can go high or low.

With a truck you can go racing and bashing.

i would say truck thats in my words but when i take my hot bodies lighting staduim on the long grass it some times chocks but on concreat it don't, but the truck can go over bigger things and may be tougher it's upto you in the end.

thanks all
i got the mammoth
good price too £160 ($320)

can't wait till monday to give it ago

thx
