Sure, maybe YOU do, but I'm beaten into submission on a daily basis if I don't help out around here.
That Samoan boy of yours needs some discipling if he'd doing that so far, he must have control of your wax supply if he's manipulating you like that...

Alright. So before this thread descends into complete darkness, I think ill provide an update xD

To start with, my brother is very happy with the amount of support you guys have given him.
Secondly, he's going to order some fuel he said, so when he orders it, and it arrives, we will take it to a nearby car park thats never used, and try starting it up.

Carry on :D

Well, it depends on whether you need one first- the engine you have in there already, if it works, should be perfectly sufficient. If you've never experienced nitro before then you'll find that the car and engine you've got will be much much faster than any RC vehicle you've ever seen or used before. Buying a new engine is only really necessary in my opinion if the current one is broken, or you're serious about competition and need that performance edge over the competitors. In you're current situation I'd recommend sticking with what you've got if it works :)

The one this thread is about is my brothers...

I'm considering buying one for myself :3

I've just realised you said buggy, not engine...I need to read posts more carefully...

Anyway, what's your budget?
(I'm in the UK too so I can tell you some good retailers)

500-600 pounds or dollars?

Are you in the UK?

Pounds. I am indeed in the UK, sorry :)
In that case £200-300 pounds should do you nicely. A £700 buggy is designed to be raced by world champions, and, no offence, would be wasted on any of us on this forum (unless someone here's planning on racing against the world champions) For £249 you can either get:
-Ofna Hyper 7 TQ2:
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobao-hyper-7-tq2-rtr-.21-3-port-edition/rc-car-products/367610
-HPI Trophy 3.5
http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hpi-trophy-3.5v2-buggy-2.4ghz-rtr/rc-car-products/380742

Those are probably 2 of the most "which one is better" forum thread starters in the whole of Nitro RC. I haven't owned a Hyper 7, although I do own a Trophy 3.5. I would say, personally, that the Trophy 3.5 is better as HPI is a much better established company in the UK than Ofna, and also has the best customer service I've ever experienced. My local hobby shop also specialises in HPI parts and is actually one of the largest in Europe (Although not necessarily the most stocked).

Right OK.
How durable is the HPI? I have a tendency to be a little excitable when I first get something. I snapped the forks on my bike after purchasing them... I'll be more gentle with this though

They're both durable, but the HPI trophy 3.5 is more so- that's why it is heavier and a tad slower, but still very fast. Parts are relatively cheap and easy to access. When my trophy 3.5 went full throttle into a concrete kerb and flipped front ways only the front bumper and plastic rear toe block was broken, in total only costing £7 to repair buying the parts from Model Sport UK.

Oh awesome! OK, thanks for your help. I think I'm gonna look at some other ones too. I think.

What other ones are you thinking of? Unfortunately there are a lot of vehicles that look cool and seem to offer the same performance of higher end ones but for half the price, although they are usually weak and have bad customer service as well as difficult to find spares...

Well, i was just looking at all the nitro cars on the site you suggested the HPI on. I haven't really got anything else in mind, i just had a look around

That's great. Mode lsport UK really is great, they sell literally thousands of parts for everything and have great prices. :)
