Check to make sure that the idle gap is about 1 mm in the carburetor neck. Also check that the throttle linkage isn't binding during the full throw of the servo.

How do i go about doing that?
Yep, you're idle is way too high. On the carburettor, find the idle screw and adjust it until the idle has slowed down and the wheels have stopped spinning:

The idle screw is inset into the carburetor body.

Also, are you in Shropshire? place looks oddly familiar...

Ah ok! i remember you telling me that now. And yes, I'm in Malinslee in Telford.

This is something i noticed whilst testing it. Weird or...?

So it is!
Try not to force the servo to move, as it will damage the servo. It should only be controlled by the remote. Check that, when the air filter is off, that full throttle opens the carb all the way and none of the slide can be seen, and that on idle, there should be a 1-2mm gap, that doesn't change when braking.

well thats the first and only time I've done it. Ok, its getting dark here now so ill do all these changes tomorrow.

Didn't get round to the changes, as I've been hella busy recently. Might get round to it this weekend. Videos will be up.

All of the above as Rolex says bad fuel an glow plugs are a good start.

Had both brand new fuel and a brand new glow plug when i tested it at the weekend. It runs, and it sounds like its running ok if I'm honest, but didnt know why it was constantly on full throttle. Going to work with ninnons and hamz's suggestions and see where that takes me :)

So, to revive an old thread.
My brother lost all interest in the GX1, so I've been biding my time...
Today I offered to buy it off him, and hes making ridiculous suggestions. I'll get it though! And ill be posting regular updates.
I figured since I'm going to have to go all sensible and grown up with my actual car, i can tinker with a scale one and get my fix for messing with stuff through that :)

Will keep you updated.

You should have got that cattle prod! The car would already be yours and you would have him polishing it on a regular basis!:hehe:
