Hi Everyone,

I already bought a 16208 for my son and we had great fun with it down at the skate park the other day, so much so that I think I'm going to buy one for myself as well :)

They come with the proprietary hard case 1050 mAh battery, so looking to buy 4x 7.4v 2S Lipo's with bigger capacity for longer run times.

As far as I can tell from measuring the battery compartment, the max dimensions of battery that will fit is L 100 x W 36 H 22.

I can confirm that the standard WLtoys 2200mAh (blue) pack fits perfectly with no mods required (it's 14mm high) and the existing battery clip sits just on top.

It is possible to trim the battery clip to allow a larger capacity (taller) battery to fit.

I've spent ages scouring for something appropriate, but things are expensive here and delivery times from china (aliexpress / banggood) look to be quoting April delivery!

What batteries are you using in yours, where did you get them from, and did you have to modify?

And lastly do you have any recommendations for a go-to outlet for your (cheap..ish) Lipo requirements?

Many Thanks
JB

Thanks guys

Went for the Zeee's as they were slightly cheaper. Hopefully they'll double the run time :thumbs-up:

I bought a pair of shorty gensacearespammers smart "basher" 3s 2200 lipos for my buggy version of this truck and they work awesum in it, but just barely miss out of fitting in the truck version because of the darn battery hold down bracket. I will be doing some sort of mods on it.

Thanks guys

Hi , how did they fit ? Nicely? I am just checking them as seem a little too long by measurement
Thank you in advamce

I bought an adapter off aliexpress for the truggy version i will try and post a pic. This made it much easier to fasten down a larger battery.
I just found this on AliExpress:
$15.17 | Large Capacity Battery Compartment Bin Fasteners For MJX H16H 16207 16208 16209 16210 Adjustable Height Up To 45mm RC Upgrades

We’re still in time ! What were your suggestions ? Thank you
Here are some threads with lipo info and test results.

Hi Greywolf74
I need to order some batteries for 16208 and 16209. I'm in UK - what specific ones would you recommend?
I don't know what size battery fits in that, But I think I've seen people open up that specialized battery case and plop a different LiPo in there. Look at Turnigy Nano Tech batteries. I used their small ones in our WPL trucks. I still have two of them that are 9 years old, and they're just fine last time I cycled them. You can get them from ebay or Hobbyking.

I can't recommend specific batteries, only good quality brands and models. Not all batteries a specific company makes are good, so make sure you look at the model as well as the brands listed. Heres a screenshot of the top of the list.

Serious RC (a uk MJX seller) have confiemd that the

MJX 2S 7.4v 3000mAh LiPo Battery for 1/14th Scale MJX Hyper Go Models

will fit a 16208 with a minor trim to the battery cover, so will probably go with that for now.

Actually I've just found these that look like they'll fit:

Ovonic 2S 2200 mAh

Anybody know if this brand is reasonably decent?
It does fit, just a wee tight. Anything that size or slightly smaller works great.
You can split the hard case hypergo battery open to use a better balance charger. I recommend it.

I use a cheap balance cable to charge my stock hyper go hardcase batteries on my d300 charger
