Been away from RC cars for a few decades and as I try to get up to speed on today's RC environment my head us spinning as you can imagine. When last I ran cars Lipo wasn't even a thought. NiMH was all the rage. I do have experience with Lipo's, after I drifted away from cars I went deep into RC sailplanes, and at the club I flew at winchs and ji starts weren't an option. So I used Lipos.
Based on my knowledge from that time (about 15 years ago) I'm concerned about Lipo's in a car.
I've been searching for articles to help get an understanding but my brain hurts now.
Any help or direction on where to go would be greatly appreciated.

Chris

What are your concerns about lipos in cars? Maybe best to get your concerns cleared up first?😎

There is WAY too much info out there sometimes!

I was in the same situation as you not long ago and not at all excited about replacing everything I own, know and love with a 'new' technology. (brushless was 'new' for me too so twice the fun!)

Lipos aren't so new any more and a lot of the dangers, confusion, mystery and misunderstanding have been worked out.

I bought a cheap DeeRC with lipo and brushless and just dove in. Learn as I go sort of deal. I felt like it was easier to understand the things I was reading if I could actually experience, test, try for myself too.

There ARE things that need to be done in order to be safe. I don't think its any different than being safe around most anything else with a warning label on it.

Read, learn, UNDERSTAND and do. Be sure to ask questions too!!! 👍

Have you seen @Greywolf74 posts at all?

He has all sorts of threads about lipo specificly too.

Learn how to use and store the gear safely and I don't think you'll have many problems. 😎👍
