Welcome to RCTALK.COM!!!
Usually when a car is offered in 2 different power versions, there will be some difference in the electronics, gearing, axle and other upgrades.
I don't own one of these so I can't 100% confirm.
Do you have a manual that came with the truck?
There should be some info in that.
Thing is, even if the electronics can take it, the car might need upgrades so it doesn't blow itself apart. Metal gears, full bearings etc.
I think @Hornet68 could offer some help here. He's a fan of the Hyper if I recall correctly.
Welcome to RCT. Going up in power on a RTR, as Mike said, will likely require other upgrades. That's if the electronics don't burn up, which is likely.

Those MJX Hyper Go platforms should state 2S/3S compatible with the 45amp ESC.
If you are going to do 3S LiPo battery, with existing motor, I would keep in mind a larger gearing ratio (smaller pinion gear) may be needed to compensate a bit.
I realize your manual says you can run 3s but your 4200kv motor is going to massively overheat. You'll need an aluminum motor heatsink and a fan. The real solution is a lower kv rated motor, possibly something like a 3200kv Hobbywing.
