Reviving an E Revo vxl 1/16 (3450) - battery advice

I apologize for the lame question. I've spend about 2 hours online and with Chat GPT trying to find the right battery for a E Revo VXL 1/16 that is ~12 years old (maybe more). I'm trying to revive it and all of the NiMH batteries I have are dead.

I've included some pictures of the RC and the old batteries

I'm happy to get either NiMH or LiPo but as soon as I find a battery that may fit, I cannot find a vendor with the battery in stock. I'm relatively new to the hobby and have searched as much as I can thus thought I'd ask some fellow hobbiest. If you have any idea for a source of compatible batteries, I would appreciate. Or, if you think this is a lost cause since the car is relatively old, you can let me know so i can stop searching.

I bought a new Arrma Mini Kraton and now my friend wants to participate and we have access to the Traxxas E-Revo and I thought I'd try to revive it.

Click on NiMh if that's what you're interested in. $20

These lipos will fit, but you'll need to change connectors or use an adapter.

Finding 'round' lipo packs to fit vintage RC can be a bit of a trick.

These are the packs I intend to buy for my vintage Ultima. Battery area is cut so a 'square' shorty pack will not fit.

I have not purchased any of these batteries yet nor do I know that these will 'for-certain' fit your Revo. I am pretty sure these are what you want tho.

Mike, this is the mini E-Revo, the battery compartments are 94 x 34 x 17 mm

Unless you have other wizard skills we haven't seen (duct tape doesn't count), those full-size packs are NOT gonna fit.

OK, I guess the adaptors (SPMXCA317 for
Battery (Deans) → Charger (IC3)) is no longer available/in stock anywhere. SO my next newbie question. Can I just cut off the traxas plugs off the old batteries and solder them to the New battery leads (https://www.amazon.com/URGENEX-Disc...17a&pd_rd_i=B0BPM12F38&psc=1&&tag=rctalk-20)? Then get a Traxxas to Specktrum Charger port (my only Lipo charger
