I have a Team Associated semi 6x6 with a reedy 17.5 turn brushless and a hobbywing xr10 pro g3 legacy. The last part of the build is the battery and charger and this one makes my head hurt. Any help is much appreciated.

Dual channel?
Price range?
AC/DC, or DC only?
Not knowing your wants/needs are, my default answer will be a Hota D6 Pro for your charging needs.
Pick your favorite 2S shorty pack, and let 'er rip! Sorry, my current batteries of choice is CNHL. Lots of great 2S shorty packs out there.

Privet range for charger $150, batteries $100. I want to be able to charge ac or DC

That is well within range of the Hota D6 Pro. Until recently, there wasn't a charger thhat coud touch it for the price.

If you want to learn about LiPo chargers, Joshua Bardwell is a good guy to watch on YouTube. He's pretty weird at times, but a good dude and super knowledgable about all things ellectronics. This video here will tell you how the bbalancce charging circuit works, and why having a high balance current in your charge is so imortant.
At 4:52 of this video you will see what I mean by a little weird.

As for batteries, you can't go wrong with CNHL. Tip: Typically, the heavier packs are often the best performers.
This threadd has everything yu want to nw about LiPo's.
