All those holes are for shock tuning, its really hard to break an aluminum tower, i have seen a few bend ,not sure i have seen one break.

jose, sent you a pm about my Agama.

I have several 4mm CF and Graphire towers (on buggies) and have yet to break/bend one. 4mm is beefy, and if all you're looking for is durability, I agree--stick with alums. However, if you want to lighten the vehicle (which is always a plus) 4mm CF or Graphite will hold up no problem. At least mine have. I bent three 2mm alum towers on one of my vehicles in the course of six months, then put on a 4mm CF and it's lasted close to two years now.

Sooooooooooo i messed up bad on my order :( i have a lx2 chassis coming not a lx2e.
Should i just use that or reorder the right one? The layout is the same i just have to drill a few holes

If you feel confident in drilling the holes i would drill them, but if you wanna wait on another chassis just send it back and get the right one.

I have my lx2 in peace's and fit the tray on it and looks like it will fit good but i have to wait on the body to make sure the lx2e body fits. I just did know if the e chassis would be better for my racing journey. Lol
Selling the lx2 off to hopefully fund a well worthy agama someome just happens to have laying around........hint hint

Yes the agama is nitro

I wouldn't be that annoying guy with a nitro at the track without a nitro lol

Oh update: i was messing around with my camber gauge that i just got and found out today that 1°neg makes a hell oh a difference in steering

Oh i almost forgot! I won a T-shirt at the track today!

It sure does. I recommend everyone get a set of digital calipers and true up your links. At a minimum get the precisely equal on both sides. I don't own a set up kit (I made my own) but the one tool that is very much needed with respect to suspension is digital calipers. I could not believe the difference it made when I first used them.

So i was gonna sell my lx2 but really thinking about it it would be more cost effective to keep it and part it for my lx2e build and i also have a rig in mind that i want to get my hands on befor it sells to someone else. I'm also gonna use the nitro chassis will be drilling 3-4holes to make everything fit.
Here's what came in today

As for diff oils the 7/5/3 that i was advised to start with works really good but I'm gonna use 7/7/3 in this buggy to see if i can get some more power to the back.

Let us know what you think. It's great to see you enjoying this sort of stuff! I've been jacking the my rear camber on one of my vehicles and inadvertantly switched the wheelbase from short to long. It was awesome! ;-) Sometimes little things you never think of make a big difference.

My goals for this year to really buckle down and test/learn are:
1. Roll center--everytime I think I fully understand it--I learn something more.
2. Damping (I want to get each of my vehicle's "dialed" as the kids say) from a suspension standpoint at a given environment.
3. Gearing. Not so much different setups but learning perfect mesh all the way round, what to look/listen for, how to maintain, etc. This is outside spur/pinion...mainly diffs. I'm finding myself becoming more and more particular about keeping the drivetrain smooth and rolling forever-- I know I can make progress.

I do as i can in this hobby. Some times i have to stop and wait for funds but i never give up lol. I wish i could just go and drop $1000 on a kit but hey i love having all 5 of my kids.
Come tax season ill be sure to get a good kit to work with the rest of the year. :D

I ran a toro in an AE sct 4x4 for a short wile and loved it, good quality stuff and decent prices.

Nice. I have a racer from the track that offered it to me for $145 new.

If you want more lockup in the back i would go 7-5-5 and try that, totally up to you though, thats what i run on higher bite tracks :)

Went to my buddys shop and drilled the hole i needed and they came out dead on and everything fits perfect. Parting out my lx2 was a good move and i should of thought of that first but oh well its done.
All I'm waiting on is my body that will be here sometime this week. Ill be using a 80A hw esc and motor (1500kv) untill i have the money for that toro system. And I'm going with savox steering servo.
Once i get everything i can start having fun :)
Sunday i tested out my friends lx2e and he had a faster steering servo then mine and i drove like a pro! Kinda not really but man it did what i commanded it to do and i was able to hit my lines well. Very smooth and the guys with the losi 22s appreciated it lol (not hitting them) them thing are very small but really cool looking zipping around nicely.
