Philips screws in 2025? Do better Axial.
I'll pass just because I'd be afraid of stripping screws.

I imagine it is very hard to get hex head screws that tools we already have can use that are that small. My smallest hex head is a 0.050", and that thing is tiny.

I'd rather buy smaller hex drives than deal with super tiny philips and have to buy smaller philips drivers and still have to worry about stripping them out. Also watching the video, they even used philips on larger screws so that's not why they used them.

I have to admit it would be a really cool desktop crawler, but I am not interested in upgrading something so small, and if it's anything like an SCX24 it's going to need upgrading.

meh, you just need a high quality screwdriver set. DIN 5260, ISO 8764, JIS etc. I got one for a Tamiya model and there is a noticeable difference in the grab of the screw, not sure it's better than my snap-on set, but better than the 20 year old no-name I had in a drawer.

Oh man! What a rush! Just made it all the way accross my keyboard with this micro crawler🤣

Oh sorry, just finishing my second lap.

That mouse must have been a really hard climb.

I've started using JIS screwdrivers on all of my Phillips screws and I've been having good luck. Still, I'm not sure if I need an RC Schafer Stomper.

^^^Those things were addictive - a bunch of grown men I worked with had various "Comps" with them when they were popular. I think I had 4 of 'em!

I still have a few in a case from when I was a kid. 😂

The really bad thing is, I will eventually end up with one, even though I don't want to deal with it, just to try it, and know for sure.🤷‍♂️🤣
Tell the truth... you already made room in you sock drawer for a pair of these, didn't you?

Did you get a plaque for unit # 1 and # 2 off the production line? 😂

Nope, you just drop a battery or two in and they slowly drive forward. They were cool toys for their day, but now they cost almost as much as an SCX24.
I'm rich?!?!? WOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!! 🤣
