Prices for pre-made scale obstacles are crazy..then when I add a +4/5mm axle width they are usually too narrow. So I took a weekend and less than $20 usd to make all the obstacles in the pics.
I made this rolling bridge a long time ago for 24th scale. It has gear teeth on the bottom, like a rack and pinion basically. The idea was to enter the bridge on the left side because the right side is blocked, then you have to move to the other side to exit to get by an obstacle on the exit. This was version 1, which was too short.
V2 extended it and added some webbing to the bottom, which was printed separately and glued on.
This is supposed to go between two tables of our diorama, and simply lifts out of the gear tracks if the tables need moved.
That's pretty Wicked, Fog! OK seriously that's a slick setup.
My seesaw is weighted on one side so once you go over it returns to the original position so the next rig can cross without anyone having to touch it. A directional obstacle, if you will.
The tables as it turns out, are actually kinda small for 1/24 scale trucks. But I was kinda wanting to get into Orlandoo 1/32 scale trucks at some point. I just have to get up the nerve to build my first one, which has a trailer that I have seen folks who built one say it is by far the most incredibly difficult build they ever did.
Them Chinese man... they get nuts with stuff like that. I don't want to muddy up your thread any more than I have already, but if you want to see some really cool stuff, the Orlandoo RC's have a huge following. They even have some very cool tank style tracks you can put on their solid axle trucks.
