Yep, I will be buying just the body, I haven’t really looked at it. Looks to be a deadbolt or a gladiator setup. Should have put portals or something, is it brushless?
I won't buy another SCX24 in RTR form. By the time I get done with them, there isn't much left of the original truck 🤪

My Base Camp is not too heavily modified and it performs pretty well.
I think it depends on your end game. I like scale builds, something you could see driving through town in real life.
For my purposes, starting with a factory SCX24 works.
For a comp build, yeah, definitely go scratch

I still like my SCX24's. It's just bang for the buck performance wise, the competition is ahead of the game. Now when I look at an SCX24, I know most of it will get replaced. The competition, not as much. Now to be fair, most of the competition is 1/18 scale which gives them sn advantage. For me it's about the fun factor and I have been preferring 18 scale.

We need everything to be offered on kits with no electronics. So we have a option for the beginners or the less hassle crew (RTR, ARTR, ect. Rollers if you want to pop in your own electrics) and a option for us hobbyists that have a whole box of spare electronics from other RTRs and love to build anything up 🤔😉

They would sell more if they offered kits, that's for sure.

I was looking at these. Kinda pricey, unsure. Seems to be built. 🤨
It says kit. And I've never seen any upgrade come from anybody already built. Especially Furitek. It should arrive in pieces.

I just meant with the electronics, but it does say it has the fury wagon truck and you get the upgrade package also. So getting two chassis that is what I’m interested in, and the furitek electronics also always a plus.

Oh, I see.

I really don’t know how I got this way already with these things probably just the money I have spent, Rockblock was completely from scratch and the cheapest. The others I bought rollers. And $100 more than Rocblock in the end. Just depends on what you want I guess. It can get pricey anyway you go just depends on how far you’re willing to go.
