Well…I went to my local rc store…I’m easy influenced…but when they throw a $40 discount, would you say no?!
This thing is gorgeous!
I upgraded to dual stage foams but it still needs weighted wheels imo. What would fit these tires?
Thanks guys

Awesome! Congrats on the new rig!

Any 1.9" wheels fit the stock tires.

Also, as an alternative to weighted wheels...you can go the OG route and pick up a pack of 1/4 oz lead wheel balancing weights from your local Harbor Freight. Stick them around the inner ring of any wheels you like. I do it on all my trucks because brass is ugly...and because it works. It works REALLY well.

Dude!!! I know who’s stopping by harbor freight after work tomorrow!
Thanks a lot 🙏🏼

Gorgeous
1.9
Those tires aren't that bad in mud
Not the traction you'll get from a good set
Hyrax has done me pretty decent as an all around tire I even ordered a set then chopped out some lugs to make it more aggressive

I always forget the wheel weights!!!! Yeah easy low weight space em evenly and use double sided tape to hole em on
I like brass but I also like when it blends with the vehicle rather than shiny
I like brass portal covers, diff covers,
c hubs, and I have 1 truck with a set of axle weights?
I'm often switching terrain and climbing things I shouldn't so I need that extra weight to keep my wheels on the ground. I like my trucks beefy lol
But thats about the limit it's gotta be below the axle for me to add brass (so far)
The ascent doesn't need much of that really
It's gonna go where you want and look stylish while doing it!

Do you put weight both front and back?

I’m growing fast, I was just running scx24 rigs and look at me now 😂.

I always start with fronts only and let the truck tell me what it needs from there lol.

I agree with @xjtorc Start with the front, it's usually enough. Great lookin' truck, it's on my wish list, but I really don't need another, I still have plenty to work on at the moment.

None of us need “just one more” yet here we are 😂😂😂😂😂.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate you guys educating me on this. 🙏🏼

But when you get into the double digits space becomes a real issue.

I'm excited to hear what you think, I think your going to love it. :thumbs-up:
I think so too, I can see the appeal of a larger scale crawler.
Don’t take me wrong, I still like bashers but I got 15-20 min of fun with my HBX 2997a, that’s it! You can run crawlers for a lot longer than that.

i LOVE MY 2997A!!!!!! it was my first rc, i learned a lot from it, things so much fun on 3s!

that is an IDEAL spot for it, it brings a little more forward weight bias, which will help when pulling up and over an obstacle.
its where i wasnted to mount mine but my batteries are just a few mm too wide for it to sit without forcing it in.
you hae the fusion ascent i have the less cool ascent, you have those spiffy rods to slide the battery under, mine has a bent plastic piece, once i swap over to braces like yours ill be following suit
