So I have been searching and contacting HPI in regards to this but cannot find a definitive answer. I am trying to convert my 2012 Savage x 4.6 into an XL minus the engine/powertrain. I Already have the XL TVPs and the XL driveshaft and am now working on the width portion of the conversion. Please do not tell me to get offset wheels instead, I am set on doing the conversion.

I need to know if this part includes everything necessary to convert the x to xl width? http://www.amainhobbies.com/product...uper-Heavy-Duty-Drive-Shaft-Outdrive-Axle-Set

In talking with HPI the only information they can give me is ". If you want it wider go with all the XL parts. If you have any further questions please let us know, we are here to support you." After countless emails this is as specific as the associate will go.

I believe the above part is only thicker parts comparable to what an xl would run but with the standard x length. I found this as well and I believe this is the part I need to get the xl width but what other parts am I going to need to complete the conversion? http://www.amainhobbies.com/product...PI-8x11x59mm-Super-Heavy-Duty-Wide-Axle-Set-2

Yep that's everything you need. The axle shafts and the axle stubs both to complete the conversion.

So I would need both parts that I quoted above?

Any other parts I need or is that it?

Yeah both sets of parts. You shouldn't need anything else. The XL gets it's extra width from the longer axel stubs. You will need the axle shafts and drive cups from the other set you quoted because the axles are thicker and won't fit into the drive cups of the X4.6.

Awesome thank you for the clarification. Now to find the lowest prices lol.

you will need the spacers also for the axle shafts and it looks like you are good to go

Two sets of these. You'll have to drill them out a bit, and drill the axles out. And you need to get the 17mm nuts, it doesn't come with them. Way better than the little hex nuts that HPI uses.

^ I have seen that before. Thanks for the suggestion and part number. It would be much cheaper. What size bit did you use to drill out the axle/hub?
