Seriously. We now have four RC’s residing here. And everyone wants upgrades after watching YT vids. The kids all have Proline bodies on their Xmas lists so I need to learn how to prep and paint. I’ll be reading up on some threads like Littlemotor said about the subject.
Soda bottles will help the learning curve if desired. Xxxmain has paint goodies. They also have a video series on painting going from basic to professional.

My suggestion..... mask off the lights incase you want to add leds in later.

@TeknoJ , @Lostinthewoods86 , @332_RC , and I BELIEVE @WickedFog all have some airbrush stuff in their threads/posts too. I’m sure there are more members that do as well-just those are a handful of the guys I can think of off the top of my domepiece..

I think some plastics are more suseptable than others to the cold breakage.
This was my experience but also a long time ago.
I would break more plastic in the cold to the point that if it was REAL (New England) cold, I wouldn't run for fear of breakage when I was young.
That said, if my Arrma's are runing this winter, I plan to try and run them.
I'll bet they would be a BLAST I'm my yard and driveway.
I want to try!!!
New parts tend to be more giving.
I believe your RPM arms are going to be better than stockers in the cold but this is compared to Associated plastic, decades ago. I hope they are still as good, both brands!

I don't know if Associated offers any warranty parts replacement or discounts.

Nice. Thanks. We haven’t had any brutal winters in MA in years. So I’m hoping me and the kids can still bash around the yard on the days where it’s halfway decent outside.

I’ve been loving driving the MT10 with the kids and their rigs. We have a blast with no real disasters so far. I think it’s almost time for some clear aftermarket bodies and to paint them up. I’ve watched a bunch of vids on painting RC bodies. I’m much more artistic than I am mechanically inclined. So I’m looking forward to it.

I'm glad this all worked out for you!
You're happy and so are the kiddos...
You WON!!!
Nice work!!!
Now remeber this feeling of sucess because when you start painting lexan... 🥺😳🤬
J/K!!!
You might mess up a couple few times at first but its pretty easy and fun.
Practice!!!

Got any thoughts on bodies yet?

Haha , I’m prepared for some mess ups but it’s all part of the learning curve. I want another stock MT10 body and then maybe a Proline early 50’s Chevy and 2017 Raptor body. They say bodies that fit the Stampede will fit the MT10 so we’ll see. I wanna check out JConcepts for other body ideas too.

I Ike this simple yet handsome color scheme. I may try to duplicate it on the MT10 body.

I have that 50's Chevy body too! Cool design!
I like simple and is certainly going to be the easiest way to learn.
Some part of that Associated paint job may be decals too.

JConcepts makes some good stuff too!

I'm FINALLY boxing up stuff for Team Blue Groove. They have a TON of lexan availible AND they are nice ppl!
You should check them out too! 😎

There are lots of ppl here and videos etc... Its not so hard to paint lexan. It just takes practice.
You'll get it in no time if you're the "artistic type". 👍🏻

Team Blue Groove? Nice , I’ll look into them today. And yes , it looks like those are decals on that white buggy. So a clear MT10 body will probably be first attempt with white paint and red/blue Associated decals. Then the Proline bodies. And if the Proline Stampede bodies don’t fit , I’ll give them to little Thomas for his Stampede.

If the wheel base measurements are similar, you can make almost any body fit any kit.
There are body post kits availible or you can make your own.
With the garage you've got going, I think you'll be able to find a custom body or 3 for each of them! 😎

I've learned sometimes less is more with RCs with any day backyard bashing & having fun. Buy it- bash it- fix if needed. I can't speak for circuit track / club racing, I've never done it, but a good friend of mine does, frequently, all over 3 states. Constantly changing things so he can 'win' & from my perspective, he's no longer having fun. Benched a Mugen after 2+ years circuit racing to get a Kyosho. Already took it completely apart, & carted over 1k in upgrades for it. Has over 2k in it. I think his 1st race was Saturday with it. I wonder how he did.
My friend raced his Kyosho Saturday. Running in 5th, B block broke, hinge pin failed, spun out, hit by another racer, DNF. He said- I don't like it. It doesn't do what the Mugen will do. I'm going back to my Mugen. It's tougher. I was like, ouch- sorry man!
