Thats why I say "Screw soccer!!!".
Its all about winning and losing! 🤣
Now r/c, you can run those until you break something! 😎
Did you get to run on the fields?
No , I was merely scouting out the location. Plus , there were multiple soccer games going on and way too many people. But we will be heading there tomorrow morning after the dump. Should be quiet there early. And we’ll be in full force (sans my truck) because we’ll have the Maxx , the Rustler and our little pal’s new Stampede. Btw , he is ecstatic to own a Stampede. He keeps saying “I can’t believe it’s mine!”.

Do they make bigger street tires that will fit an MT10?

That Stampede story is so good that it makes me sad that I couldn't have bought it for him! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, you can get tires more appropriate for street running.
I'm not sure what size hex mt10s have but it won't present much issue unless they gave you 14mm like Arrma 3s.

Good to know about the tires. I’ve been investigating some Prolines.

And as far as the Stampede goes, it is currently “parked” in a perfectly neat line by the Maxx and Rustler in the boy’s room. We recently moved Thomas (the Stampede owner) into our house. Just got a bunk bed delivered so we could fit all three kids in their bedroom. They love it. Our house isn’t huge by any means but it’s big enough to take in a good kid like Thomas. Removing him from the nightmare he came from makes us all happy. Two 9 year olds and a 13 year old. Soccer , lacrosse , PlayStation and RC. That’s what all of their conversations consist of. Fine with me.

I like those tires a lot. I must have them
😃

You're a good man, Charlie Brown!

Is it worth trying to sell the stock Reedy motor and ESC that comes with the MT10? Mine will have a Castle system installed. Or am I better off holding on to it?

I can’t imagine anyone would wanna buy the stock A-arms , shocks and servo. So I’ll just keep that stuff boxed up and put away.

The hard work is done for you. Somebody is always looking for cheap stuff for projects. Box it up and sell/put up for bids on eBay. Examples: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=team+associated+xp120&_sacat=0&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1

In my mind, the only electronics that would be of value, on a lot of today's RTRs, is the motor. The last great RTR that I remember was Duratrax Evader ST Pro. It came with an actual Futaba radio, Orion motor, Pro-Line tires, hard coated aluminum shocks, blah, blah, blah. Sure, there are some RTR speed controls that are better than others, but the typical ones that lack adjustability... don't plan to get much for them if reselling. The latest Reedy SC600-BL2 speed controls are more on track for the price a person would pay for them separately. Getting a Hobbywing Quicrun WP 1060 G2 is cheaper. Just look at chop shops across the web for pricing practices.

As far as stock arms go, I'm the type of person who would rather have an arm snap than have a more flexible composite plastic piece yankin' on hinge pins/chassis. It all depends on the RC platform and its known strengths/weaknesses and surface being ran on. I'm pretty sure Team Associated did a running change on the MT10/Pro4 SC10 arm's plastic. I don't "send" my RCs to the moon and back. I'd buy the stock arms off you, if I had a MT10... things didn't work out 🫣 😁 . Thanks for reminding me of Associated's "must buy all four" arms deal.

Eh , I think I’ll just hold on to everything. Maybe down the road I can put the motor and esc in the newly acquired Rustler. Of course , I’ll have to learn how to solder beforehand.

Associated makes good shocks, I would hang on to them.

Associated has an exchange program for their electronics... haven't looked into what they are offering, but here's their link:

Nice , thanks. I’ll look into it. But the more I think about it , the more I wanna keep everything and stash it away.

And I’m in love with those Proline Street Fighter tires. I want them for the pavement.

The rtr’s will come with the basics to at least get you going out the box (at least all the ones we got have).

Tip, check the wheel nuts out the box and then again after a minute of so of running it, we lost the wheel and nuts on at least three I can remember on day one 🤣 (woulda thought I learned after the first one 😂)
I was just rereading this thread. Lots of info to take in. So should I use Loctite on the wheel nuts? Which color?
