General RC Information
I wanted a Javelin, but they were sold out everywhere. They seem more available now than when I built this one. I decided to use an Optima Pro, because I liked the gunmetal parts, i.e., chassis, shocks, etc. I thought the mint color (my wife calls it Tiffany Blue...hahaha) would go good with the gunmetal and I think it turned out pretty good. I just wish that Kyosho made a front shock tower in gunmetal. I'm a Kyosho guy. My first car was a Kyosho Pegasus and although that car was a POS, it was my first. My next car was a Kyosho Ultima. I got it in 1987 and loved that car. I sold it, because I was a poor teenager and needed gas and spending money. Oddly enough, I still have the Pegasus, but it has seen better days.
Enjoy!

- Challenges Faced
- The servo tray for an Optima Pro is different, so I had to buy a Turbo Optima/Javelin top tray. The Pro was also missing a small amount of parts, like the driver shims that hold the driver down in the rear and of course, the short steering arm was missing, due to having the longer arm that the Pro uses. Other than that and waiting on parts, everything was smooth as silk.
