Definitely. That seems to be the name of the game. I really like that Maxx. My MT10 was supposed to have shipped on Tuesday but the FedEx tracking number still says “label created”. So maybe they only ship on certain days.

I have read enough confusing crap about lipos that it was essentially all meaningless at the end of it.
Everybody is tryimg to sell you something and its ALL "the most important, best thing ever" and its crap at least 75% of the time IMO!
So. @Greywolf74 , If you were running bashers on some fair but not outrageous budget, which battery would you put in this truck?

I don't mean to ignore your list of good and bad. I'm asking if the list applies to basher batteries as well as the "racer's edge" expensive stuff.

My go to lipo is Liperior/Liperior Pro. However Liperior lipos tend to run a bit bigger than other lipos so if I can't find a Liperior lipo that will fit a given battery tray then Ill shop around and find one that will fit from the top ten list.

doesn't matter if you're a racer or a basher, the list applies to both. While Voltage under load is more important to racers, it benefits bashers in the form of longer run times.

And is it a good idea to have some special mat (fireproof?) to keep the charger and LiPo’s on during charging?

I charge in ammo cans and those ammo cans sit on an old stand that I dont care if it gets scortch marks on it from an ammo can that got hot from a lipo fire inside of it. If I was concerned about that, Id buy a cheap paver from Home Depot and sit the ammo can on top of it.

Do you guys store your LiPo’s in a fireproof container? I see LiPo storage bags on Amazon. Good idea?

I dont do anything special to store my lipos. Only when charging/discharging do I use any type fire protection which is my ammo cans. LiPos dont spontaneously erupt while sitting at storage charge.

Thanks to a bidding addiction, and eBay chop shops my "collecting spare parts" venture turned into a mini hoarding adventure. Thankfully, for me, I don't see a lot of chop shops like there used to be on eBay. They are out there, but the old days of starting bids of $.99 are pretty much over.

They are really really flexible & nearly indestructible. Not necessarily stronger. Stock is fine. I have RPM arms on my K6. Works fine. I'd rather have stock. They flex so much, it loses traction & can pop dogbones.

RPM were THE racers parts to have. As described, indestructable. They are flexible. When you race, you might get mixed up with a guy next to you but generally speaking, no one wants to get caught up.
A hit in the wall might (and did) break arms, You DNF. That sucks!
So sacrafice a bit of ninja steering that most buggies don't have anyway for ultra durability.
No mega jumping in racing.
Bashing is intentionally beating the snot out of your rig without actually breaking it.
The stock Arrma arms and steering are tough BUT are nerf plastic. I doubt I could get my Granite around a track with the stock steering. Its horrible.
RPM also offers upgraded, long arm kits and such.
Stock is stock. Sometimes thet are more than sufficient.
Sometimes you fire up your new Revo and 1 min in my errr... your run, you clip a stump hidden in the grass and there goes the stocker. Fun over.

They have their place. Many a racer swore by them and are a common Associated ugrade, back to RC10 days.

In general, their plastics are blended for more durability... they'll flex more rather than snap. In some instances, like in a few 1/8 scale arms, their plastics are too flexible and have allowed bones to pop out of outdrives. In today's medium~high traction well-groomed surface world of racing, RPM has pretty much stopped producing arms for race bred platforms.

Team Associated got all weird with the Rival MT10/Pro4 SC10 platforms... make you buy all four arms as a set. You can't just buy the front and rear arms separate. Dumb.

tekno, losi, associated for racing kits is the most popular I see with schumacher and kyosho being an outlier as it’s not as popular at least near me
