Up next on the bench…Just about to get started. Tearing it down to every last screw, and shim…

In the last 20yrs, or better-I can’t even BEGIN to tell you how many kits I’ve owned/built/raped on… EVERY last one went together right off the bat with a Tony’s Screws grade 12.9 screw/hardware kit.. every one but this RC8… And I regretted it IMMEDIATELY.. The AE hardware is the worst I’ve ever seen in a race grade KIT… Well I decided I wasn’t gonna lose another wink of sleep over it, and hit up my boy Tony, and grabbed another bag.. I’ve also gathered a few other upgrades I didn’t outfit this sucker with during the build.. I find it hilarious I’m tearing down a fresh build that I haven’t had the opportunity to run yet (was MAYYYYYYYBE, possibly dragging my feet purposely, but I guess we’ll never really know..

), and removing perfectly good parts to “upgrade them”.. This was SUPPOSED to just be some screws and shiit…
I’ve also acquired a brand new Tekno NB48 2.2 (which was the plan all along) as the rest of my vehicles are all Tekno, and when I bought the Reds 7port Mario Rossi modified Superveloce, it was INTENDED for the Tekno buggy I was getting.. This Associated was to get a 5port Picco P3TT.. Well I held out for a smokin’ deal on the latest offering from them; the Picco P3TX DLC, Ceramic 5port MONSTER. I’ve been a loooooooooong time Picco guy, all the way back to the OG P7R Evo I had modified by my boy Adam Blevins at AB Mods.. I grabbed a couple pipes including the Picco EFRA 2166 Savoya runs on his, a Hipex 2135 hard coated w/ long, and short headers, and a couple more Reds X-One pipes.. I haven’t done a build thread on this buggy, but a lot of y’all have seen pics of it while I was doing body, after body, after body the past couple months, so here we go.. THEN-I’ll have my Reds engine & pipe ready for its forever home, and can finally build this new Tekno 2.2.. Let’s get started, I’m already feelin’ some ice cream!!!
