Why does everyone not like traxxas

There are quite a few aftermarket radios that have multi model memory but the TQi is the only ready to run system that I know of that does. I've had a few of the lower end Flyskys over the years, pretty decent radios. I was tempted to get a Nobile but I ended up getting a Radiolink RCG6S V2 for Christmas. So far I like it better than the DX5C other than the need for 6 batteries and the antenna. If they could get it to 4 aa and get rid of the collapsible antenna it would be even better.

I never knew the TQI did that, so typically, when i get them, i give them away, since i already had a Fly Sky FS-GT3B.

I like both my Flysky and DX5C and really don't see any reason to get another one.
Two of my 24s are using the stock transmitter but my custom 24 I use the DX5C.

I like radio link theyre cheaper but solid radios and i use my stock spektrum radios from my arrma cars

I had multiple flysky gt3 radios and I was not happy with them, limited range and glitchy. Right now I use them only for slow brushed cars.

My go to especially for nitro is radiolink rc4gs. It's cheap, reliable, good range, reasonably priced receivers and tsm

Radio link rc6gs is capable of 4 wheel steering each channel is fully programable

My old GT2B used 8 and my Spektrum DX2.0 uses 8 as well.

I went with the one with the 7 channel receiver with the voltage telemetry the telemetry is nice but the included adapter sucks. I ended up making my own as that one is too short and has XT60 connectors on it. I found it better to hard wire the voltage wires than using those plugs, they should just include a long 2 pin JST with it instead of what they have now.

Yeah I saw that because that is the one I was looking at. My Rx is usually close to my ESC, so I'd just solder that JST to the battery posts on the ESC.

People hate Traxxas because they've already dumped a bunch of cash into 6s Arrmas and don't want to admit Traxxas makes better trucks. Traxxas hating is pretty much just a Kraton/Sledge thing. I own both. Arrma and Traxxas 1/10th scale offerings don't seem to have the same kind of rivalry.

Yep, my Kraton ( the M2C catalog with just enough Arrma parts to make it work and a motor that would make an X Maxx happy) sits in a black bag in the garage, my Sledge is sitting on a shelf in my den.

I’m pretty loyal to Traxxas because that’s what I started with. But their on road selection is a little bleak imho

I really like my Traxxas rigs a lot. I like my Arrma cars for on road. . It's a win win for me.

Ehh. I'm starting to even out. I mostly get mad and throw tools, mostly because of my slash and rusty, but haven't driven them in a while so thats why I haven't gotten mad on them in a while.

The only thing that I dislike is that the 2wd platform has been the same since release in the 90s (and late 00s for the slash)
The only major changes are electronics, body, 272R transmission, minor chassis updates, ect. Not sure about the 4wd platform. I know for sure that the 4wd platform hasn't been around for a long time. I think around the 10s they came out.

I don't carry a torch for or against any brand. I've had good service from my Traxxas models as well as Associated and now Tekno.

I was disappointed in the 3S Arrma models I previously owned: Senton and Big Rock, but recently bought an on-sale Vendetta to see if they do better in on-road trim.
