Funny thing is though. Pepperoni has star anise as a ingredient.......pretty much what makes it taste like Pepperoni. My first attempt at making homemade Pepperoni, I thought not in mine lol Yeah no, I add it every time after that now. I guess I can take the flavor, just not by itself.

I changed out the center diff for the stock slipper clutch in my Slash 4x4 Ultimate while my grandma was listening to her audiobook and smoking medical dope. I'm okay i didn't get high off of her smoke.

So I have this Furitek Unity kit that won't fit my AX-24.

This Deadbolt was my first crawler and I'm putting the Unity in it.

I'll be harvesting the Micro Komodo from it which will fit the AX - if I ever get the skid from Furitek that I had to reorder after the USPS lost it.

Kinda anxious to see how the Unity runs!

Well, had to cut the rest of the (used to be) receiver tray. Cleaner install without the separate esc. Had to move the battery to center, used to be more forward.

Completed this ARRMA infraction 3s 1/8 based build with a BittyDesign GTR body. I have a Infraction 1/8 that I really like, and ended up building this with a slightly different motor. Originally had this chassis just for spare parts but decided to build it up as a second car.

I changed the motor pinion in my kit-built H10 Optic from the supplied 15T to a 16T for a touch more speed. I was barely able to move the Hobby Wing 2300kv motor back enough to get proper mesh... I don't think a 17T would have worked. I had almost ordered one but decided on the 16T at the last minute.

I also got thinking about the situation with my lighting system on the Optic. I have the Meus four-light package but, despite installing a receiver switch, I was unable to control it from my Flysky GT-3B. The receiver switch harness did have a micro switch on its circuit board, so I was able to select the light mode that way. It wasn't very convenient as I had to take off the right side battery tray to get to it.

I finally found some information on the RC Tech forums. Years back, when I first purchased the GT-3B, I did the modification to allow installing 3rd party firmware. The forum had instructions on how to use some of the features that firmware offered, including programming of the CH3 button on the transmitter.

I was able to program the button to work as a switch, going from -100 to +100 with each push. I can now cycle through my light modes and turn the lights on or off by double-clicking the CH3 button on the transmitter. Nice!

Did some wire work
Had to replace the A motor wire. Just found some similar already cut to length blue HW 12awg wire and replaced it. I know it's not the same color and same wire size but if it works it works
Also had to resolder the positive battery bullet
Also got everything charged up and ready for the track this weekend as I'm not able to go as much the next few months

Needed custom skid, had metal and a day off work, so here's my handy work, all hand cut, drilled and filed..
It's not perfect but it will work for what I want..

While the rain was pouring down outside, I installed the complimentary front wheel weights and skid plate set from Rlaarlo on my MK-07 V2. (I guess I need to swap out the red wire ties I used to secure some vulnerable wiring with black ones, not that they show from normal viewing angles.) I also finally received the clear acrylic spray I needed to clear-coat the water slide decals I put on the doors.

I've been working on my H10 the last two days.
Bolted on some sweet printed parts by DSM Off-road, but I didn't want to just plunk the grey tank from the OEM storage rack.

I painted it up with some Testors stuff and bolted it all together

I am really enjoying this truck!

I checked the shocks on my new Rlaarlo MK-07 V2 and found one had leaked slightly. I adjusted the fill in them all with an estimated 70/30 mix of OEM 500cst (40wt) and 3000cst to get an estimated 850cst (65wt) according to a silicone shock oil mix calculator I found on line. This really dampened a lot of the body roll and bouncing and, along with the front wheel weights, made for a much more "scale" operation. I ran a battery through it in the woods behind the house. Lovin' it!
