More work. Put the front end back on and set the springs on the kingpins and shimmed it so there’s no preload or droop on the springs. The kingpins will need a light coat of fluid, but I’ll do that once I dial the chassis in. I also put the hex balls on the steering arms (these can be shimmed too for bump steer). I was going to attach the tie rods and the servo horn, but I set the servo too low for the horn, so I removed the servo+servo mount only to strip the carbon part of the mount. I had to get more hardware kits anyways so I bought a hardware kit and another servo mount. I also put the adjustable body mount posts holders on. The white dots on the right side is just a visual for when I go taking the body on and off, it can be a little weird to put on. Nascar race cars has a similar marking for the jackman to jack the car during a pit stop.

Going to the dirt track. Got slicks on. Put the smaller motor back in the slash and found a 23t pinion so with that motor should be back up to speed. Also some wire management

I took the big t sticker off the fuel bottle. Now I can use it to fill my hpi and not give it the cooties.

Broke down, sanded, cleaned, prepped, and painted another set of wooden/steel “spice racks”, then reassembled. Now I can get this last batch of airbrush paints TF off of my bench, and up on the wall with the rest.

Made a bit of headway in the organizational/aesthetics department last night finally.. Got my new modified racks up, and organized proper.

Also did another shelf for wheels/tires, as I was well outta room for them on the bench side of the LHS (Littlemotor’s Hobby Shop ).. -This location was also in preparation for a layout switch-up that’s coming shortly.. The wooden cart and tool cab is getting a new home to the wall 90deg to the left in this photo between the closet door, and entrance door. The 1/8 buggies will stay on the original side of the room as I’ll explain in a sec, and the (2) Jammin’ 1/12’s will take their places on top of the box. This will open up some real estate for the hangers I’m fabbing up on the wall just below the Pantera poster, and Iron Maiden tapestry.. It’ll make much more sense when ya see what I’m doing as far as that goes. I’m not a fan of what’s “readily available”, or that is the “status quo”, so I’m just gonna do up my own. Y’all know I can’t leave shiit alone..

Definitely starting to come together now.. Also extending my parts storage/peg board deal another 19” all the way to the door frame. There’s only about half of the current board exposed when the door is open, as seen here. It’s a good sized board, I just wanna make use of all the space I have now. I’ve been outta room there for months..

Got everything ready for the big 1/8 outdoor track this Sunday. Next weekend would be some racing indoors most likely. First time at this outdoor track and first time at a outdoor track in general should be a fun day

Brass hexes and aluminum links on AX24. On a related project, started hauling in rocks with the tractor for the base of the outdoor crawler course, pretty stoked to get started…pics when it starts.

A little more to the RC room.. Rearranging a few things, and been thinking on changing up this old red toolbox for the better (hopefully ).. I have some decals left from my last 1:1 racecar build, so I did the sides up the night before last, and then earlier this evening.. Much more involved than it looks. I’m happy with how it’s coming out. This is a RIDICULOUS amount of loot “tied up in” these stickers..
