Fender flares off cause they will rub (did with the stock tires) going to trim the fenders where the holes are for them. Got to cut the front bumper too

Solved the issue from last night, ESC just needed a factory reset, very weird. The Lipo regulator should be reading 6 volts with a fully charged lipo and yeah, it read 6 volts so it's good now after a ESC reset. Thanks to my local RC shop for letting me borrow their volt meter. Afterwards, I put everything back in the car the way I had it. Hoping to get the new body done before Tuesday.

Experimented with the matte finish on the old body. 2 coats, waited 10 minutes between coats. Looks so nice, this was exactly what I was looking for for like the last 1 1/2 years. A couple fuzzies but it's just a test.

Sorry for the double post, but I had a good idea. The spare body I had had a bit of a paint goof where the left side headers go. The goof isnt hugely noticeable but you can see it under the light. Since my cars are always usually black, I cut out and trimmed a piece of black electrical tape to "cover up" the paint goof, and now you can't even see it. It also adds just a tiny bit more weight to the left side of the car which is good for oval racing. Once the body is on the chassis you wont even see the tape. Gonna apply the waterslides tomorrow and let it dry, and then spray the matte coat like I did on the old body on Saturday or Sunday.

Grandson found out I was building the DR10 kit, and challenged me to make a Drag car to compete against he and his brother... so undid some of the changes (rear shock tower, body mount), and assembled the wheelie bar, changed gears to 26/78... and ordered some tires.

Dam kids.

Did some waterslide decals today. Sorry for no pics, I covered up the body so the decals can dry overnight. Tomorrow, I'll hit the body with the matte coat again, and then apply the vinyl decals last. Idk if I should apply the vinyl decals first and then the matte coat. The vinyl itself is already satin which is fine enough for me. I guess i'll play it by ear so to speak.

Finally got around to swapping out the old-scool suspension pins on my 2wd Stampede and Raptor (Slash) with captured pins. I'm sure they'll be faster now.

The vinly decals will stick better to the smooth surface.

I've worked a solid 10 to 12 hours wrenching on RCs before but I just don't feel like it anymore.
