Wrenched on the slash. Rebuilt the shocks. 35wt rear and 30wt front. Should handle better at the track now. Previously had 50wt from my bashing/carpet setup and that was way to thick. Also removed some preload spacers. Also added my rustler truck tires on it and ill see the difference between SCT and truck tires at the track. Truck tires on a short course, I love the look.
Put the chrome anaconda set on the rustler. Got packed up for the track on Saturday.

Not really wrenching, but it is RC related. Made some more acrylic stands (cut on the laser at work) for my mini crawlers today. Kept these basic as I just needed to get some more of my rigs up off of ther tires.

Awesome cool! Especially lasered out! That glue, what brand or type? I zoomed in & kinda see it. Obviously it says acrylics. I have a project with acrylic on the board. I have E6000, figured that would work & the project will need to hold fluid. Non pressure.

This stuff is really good SCIGRIP Acrylic Glue they make other formulas but this one has a good working time for me. Dries pretty clear too. It kind of reminds me of the old model airplane glue tubes. You do have to watch out for dragging strings across your surface.

Thanks Doom, you Dust Devil

Looks like that might be better than E6000

Just trying this for now cause it’s what I had
I used pactra for years then switched to tamiya after wards. I suggest sitting the can in some warm water to help spray evenly as it's easier to tell on windows.

Don't forget to stay above the ans1 mark. 😝

Backyard track Event 5 grasstrack done. Time now to reset two of the cars from GrassSpec to DragSpec and finish out Event 4 66ft drag strip. First up is a Rusty.

Changed out to stiffer springs FR and RR. Probably too stiff up front? Wait out on that. Shock fluid to 25wt FR and 45wt RR. Stood up the RR shock set; left the FR set laydown. JConcepts 2.2 Hotties drag tires up front; P-L Hoosier 2.2/3.0 SCT drag slicks bring up the rear. Truck ride height set arms level with no preload and no battery install. O.K. Good place to start setup from. Left the under-chassis FR air dam off this time. Used it for speed runs. With a 43mph break-out on the 66ft track, won't need it. Just more drag.

Slipped in a battery and re-set the RR ride height to arms level. FR A.O.K. for now. Next step pre-load weight jacking to even out RR tire weight on the ground. Tomorrow probably.

Wrenched on the slash. Put on aluminum Atomik RC caster blocks and steering hubs. Got out the RPM rear hubs and put the stock ones back in. Those should hold me over till I get aluminum rear hubs. Rebuilt the axles. Readjusted the body mounts to make the body level front/rear. Storage charging batteries from today. Gonna stay inside this weekend since we are cleaning the spare room out. Depending on how much we get done tomorrow, mom MIGHT let me go to the track on sunday.
