Been wrenching on a couple projects. The wife decided to retire her raptor and I broke a bunch of stuff on my trx4 sport so I swapped chassis. I took the gate keeper backend tore the raptor body apart to repaint it and freshen it up for the shelf. I think it's turning out well. Decided to trim down an old dodge body I had alying around and fit it to the gatekeeper cage. Turning out well I think as well

Had to rewire the sensor wire for the motor. The original one was much shorter and was mounted underneath the suspension components for the pod, however it was causing pod binding just by the wire rubbing up against the damper tube plus throwing off the weight of the Left Rear of the car. Grabbed a longer one and mounted it above all the suspension parts. And it was definitely not a 4 hour job but it did solve the issue. :dead: It's amazing just how sensitive these pans cars can be.

False alarm, i had to pull it apart a 3rd time and found a diagram and had to put the smaller wire in (again).

Not sure if that counts as wrenching, but I had to redo the contingency decals. (all the little sponsor decals) The old ones were made from peel and stick sticker paper and the ink turned the sticker paper yellow for some reason, which turned the decal yellow. I'm 99% sure it was the paper itself. The new ones are waterslide and the ink should not yellow the new decals. My grandmother works with waterslide everyday so she helped me with her expert knowledge. The new decals were printed out, waited 24 hours, thinly sprayed with non-yellowing, UV protectant clear gloss, waited another 24 hours, applied to the body, waited another 24 hours to dry and then finally they were done. I also added some Snap-On vinyl decals on the rear quarter panels, and Dale Earnhardt decals on the C-pillars. After all that, I simply polished the body with one of those cloths for eyeglasses. A huge pain, but the decals looks a lot better in person. (the big white mark on the rear spoiler in the last photo isn't damage or anything, it's that shiny and glossy lol) It's crazy how shiny the car is, but I love it that way!

Yesterday and today shot four cans of PS-16 Metalic Blue and one+ can of PS-12 Silver back-up on the Senton 2WD body. Give it until after the 4th to cure, then peel off the window masks and protective skin and sticker her up.

100degF in the shop. Probably too hot to paint. Got tired of waiting-been two weeks waiting for it to cool down. So shot 'er up anyway. Cheers. 'AC'

Where would one find those? Looks awesome. 🤩😍😁

I thinks all crawler tires should come like that!

They're made by Proline, part number 10119-33. I agree, they look awesome!

EDIT: I'm not sure if they still make them or not, I just remember grabbing these from the discount area at my LHS last winter :nailbiting:
