I have always been scared to cook on a grill with aluminum. Aluminum puts off a toxic gas when it gets really hot. And they claim cooking with aluminum could be a cause of Alzheimers.

Man, there's just so many things that are suspected of being harmful to us, that I just don't take it seriously unless there's a ton of hard facts and solid proof behind it. Like the suspicion that the grill charring on meat may be carcinogenic.

Speaking of possible carcinogen, tonight I had hot dogs. Chilli cheese dogs to be specific 😉

I'm about to relapse again. Those look amazing.
Just had me a brownie.

Yeah, the FDA made it illegal to sell food flavorings with natural Sassafras, claiming it is a carcinogen. But I grew up next to an old lady in her 90's that made the best homemade Sassafras tea. She drank it every day and lived to be 98 or 99. I used to go gather the root for her when I was a kid.

The reason I am scared of cooking with aluminum is one time as a kid I threw an aluminum can in a fire we were cooking hotdogs over. Shortly after I cooked a hotdog over the fire and it tasted like it had a strong metal taste, and I got pretty sick afterwards. The hotdog tasted just like the fumes from the pop can.

Later, when I worked at an aerospace shop we used to cut these big aluminum rings that were for gun turrets on Humvees. We used ceramic cutting inserts, so the RPM's of the machine were way up there. The aluminum peeled off the part as glowing shrapnel. The fumes from the aluminum made me nauseous, just like they did when I was a kid.

That is when I did some research on the toxicity of aluminum. I won't cook on it. Even aluminum pans won't be found in my kitchen.

Dessert for me was store bought, not very good fruit cake. I know, a lot of people don't care for fruit cake, but I like 'em.
Turkey sammich...;)
I had leftover turkey earlier today as well.

Cabage and keiwlbasa cooking, brats next, with a beam and pepsi. My boy and I threw fruit cake down the garbage disposal or off the balcony a few times.

Lunch was an egg salad sandwich, Dinner, pork chops, Dessert, Cookies and Cream Ice cream.
I love me a good egg salad sandwich! Actually, I love just about anything that has eggs.

Lamb. It comes in a little stronger than lamb, but finishes as lamb. The mountain goat was a little better, and neither can hold a candle to elk or antelope.
I really like lamb! Only had goat in a curry stew form, but have had them in Indian, African, and Jamaican style. Absolutely, love them all!
Elk I've only had once, as a burger. It's nothing special, as a burger, and of course, no where as fresh as your harvest obviously. Antelope I'm sure will be very hard to come by.
Whitetails and tree squirrels, I've had plenty of 😀

The family went out to Season's 52 restaurant for one more celebration of our oldest daughters 18th birthday. I had the shrimp and grits. They didn't skimp on the large bacon bits.

Burrito for breaky.

Seasoned beef, my own take on Spanish rice with green chilis, fire roasted tomatoes, poblanos, onions, and lots of heat, Cheddar and Monterrey Jack, sour cream, corn chips.
