I want a new transmission for my truck.....it just crapped out........F*#K S@%T F*#K......there goes my play money for the next month or so......and I won't even be able to get a nice tranny just a rebuild.......I am SO FREAKIN PISSED....

truck is in the driveway....I need a good tranny for less than 1000 bucks....but I'll have to install it...I've never done one w/o the use of my dad's shop....I think I need to get it towed there tomorrow.....this blows ass chunks.....over 50G.......a Humvee...NOT an H2 Yuppie mobile.....but a bad ass crush the road ragin psychos driving in Miami on I-95 HUMVEE ASSAULT vehicle....that's what I want right now....

Man that sucks I know how you feel my truck has been sitting for over a year because of a bad tranny. Is yours 2wd or 4wf if its 2 wont be as bad to change alot easier to balance on a tranny jack when you dont have to deal with a bulky transfer case

haha, you think thats bad. i completely stripped 3rd gear in the corrado. can't just swap the tranny cause its got a $900 limited slip diff in it, and on top of that ill just blow 3rd again because of too much power. at this point my only option is to repair it with a $1800 gearset. and that doesn't include any labor or possibly other damaged parts inside. so much for this years income tax refund :shrug:

Oh man that sucks...hope you do your own work man......I'm lucky enoughto have my dad's garage...that man has every tool you can think of and more you can't......he wouldn't just buy me a bike when I was younger we had to build it...then when I was old enough to drive he did the same friggin thing......it was nice cause I had a 72 spitfire w/ a GT6 in it...but man what a pain in the ass.....now I just wan to not get raped by some half assed mech. throwing in a peice of poop he dragged out of a junk yard and charging me 1500 -2000......oh well I'm waiting to hear from a friend lookin fo rthe deal of lifetime on a tranny.....Anyone know if the 5.0 can take a hydraulic manual tranny and what's involved in changing from an auto...I think the bellhousing is the same.......
