i like the Losi ten t truggy better that the LST XXL

redcat is a good brand

Unfortunately, I would disagree with this statement. If it was a good brand, then more hobby shops would carry them as well as parts for them. There would also be a lot more aftermarket hop up parts.

I agree with Hamz....Redcat is NOT a good brand. Traxxas isnt the best but at least they arent junk and have incredible part support.

Your comparing apples to oranges my friend. One is a 1/10 scale Truggy and the other is a 1/8 scale MT and they are both bad ass.

I agree with hamz and greywolf Redcat is not a good brand neither is Exceed. I also agree that Traxxas isn't the best but at least they have great aftermarket and hobby shop support.

i strongly disagree they they are newer and dont have support through hobby shops because they are newer. i met the owner and he said that but the fact they are alminum they dont break easy. Have any of you guys owned a redcat? and this place sell after martet parts for them http://www.rampagehopups.com/

No not me personally but i have read and heard enough complaints about Redcat to know that I don't want one.

I have looking t what u guys r saying and looking online...the Revo sounds better and better

Just because the parts are aluminum don't make them better either. I have seen more problems with aluminum suspension pieces than I care to talk about.

You will be better off with it than the T-MAXX or a Redcat.

I agree with hamz aluminum is not always better especaily on suspension parts. Aluminum bends and does not flex once it's bent it's toast. Since most hobby shops don't stock parts for Redcat then you're stuck waiting on the mail to bring your parts to you.

i put a locker in and liked it but not worth replacing drive shafts etc. so i put 100k diff oil back in the LSD and its good now. wanted to get 500k and still might but the shop i got my last order from had none.

Sorry if it is a newbie question but does the higher weight oil sort of make your diff harder to spin and act some what like a locker to the point to where it help with doing wheelies and wont break a drive shaft like a locker? Also what is a LSD?

Ok so this is actually an exceed review from Jang at URC but Redcat is about right on par with exceed. make sure you watch the durability montage that starts at 4:17. If you have any doubts about exceed or redcat after watching this then please by all means rush right out and buy one!

LSD stands for limited slip differential. Basically the thicker the diff fluid the less power you loose on the tire that isnt spinning as freely as the other one. In other words its kinda like posi-traction if your more familiar wit that term. You know in most regular cars when you get stuck in the mud the tire with the least traction is the only one that spins......well thats what happens when you have light weight fluid in your diffs. If you had posi-traction the both of your wheels would spin no matter what.....limited slip is somewhere in between. At least I believe thats basically right.

well redcat is great i own a few they are great. since you guys are finding stuff on the internet and I'm telling this as an owner that the cars are just as good as a traxxas or better and i know aluminum isnt perfect but it does keep the car in one piece and the brand is currently a small internet brand that is expanding.( just like traxxas was) have any of you guys gave one of these cars chance.

main problem with new brands is support. this guy needs to check his local hobby store for the parts they supply.

i live in australia and support is limited but i know there are 3-4 places that have traxxas parts. one in general thats 40min away that will have 95% of what i need. but in saying that i still buy 95% of my stuff from the states where its nearly half the price.

over there he might not need to go 5min down the road to have 100% of traxxas parts supplied and cheap. where as this redcat brand he might have to buy online which does give you down time as you can just shoot down the shop on a sunday.

LSD in a full size car when new will put the power to the wheel with least traction so that in turn both wheels will spin. but they act like that so that you dont break drive shafts etc. same with a Rc car but rc diffs arent so mechanical like a car diff. they are simple but still act like an LSD

I have Losis, OFNAs, HPIs, Traxxas, Mugens (this one was actually a really old MBX4, so I sold it cuz parts were to hard to get), and Associateds. I have in the past owned Traxxas Monster jam trucks, Traxxas Stampede 2WD, I have had an exceed, a redcat, an HSP, and a Tamiya. The ones I've previously owned I wouldn't have up my ass sideways if I had room for a freight train. Well actuallythe Tamiya wasn't too bad but I didnt care for it and the VXL 4X4 Stampede would probably be a good truck, the 2WD ones suck.

That's cool you keep on thinking they're great. From what i saw in that video I'll stick with my Savage XL. At least the stock plastic on it has lasted for well over a year now and doesn't crumble like charcoal.

I had the redcat tornado s30 and it was nothing but a big money pit! !!! Now I have an erevo, stampede, slash and I have spent half the money on parts for all three compared to the redcat car. Buy a good brand like losi ,associated ,traxxas, hpi or mugen
