I'm thinking about getting a new truck my old one was a Rush (junk) I've looked at many and i think i like the jato i stopped at my hobby shop and he gave me prices on several models jato-350, savage 25-400, savage 4.6 kit- 408, nitro mt218ss-320, T-maxx-385 and Revo-460. I'm gonna be doing racing on my local tracks and some bashing around the farm which one do you guys think i should get.

If ya plan to race but yet want a good basher, Id say the Revo will be your best setup. If your gonna do mainly bashing then Id say one of the Savages. Savages are as close to being unbreakable as a Rc can get. Revos are tough as well, and are fun at the track. Thatd be the two Id recomend.

I looked at the Revo i just dont think ill be able to afford it what about the jato how is it

ill be doing more racing than bashing

The jato is a fast truck, not sure how it handles tho. The MT2 18SS will not be race leagal becuase it is 4wd. If you want to race MT go with a Revo and if you want to race stadium trucks go with the jato.

Not sure how well a jato could bash tho.

I've heard that the Jato is EXTREMELY fast but is really hard to handle. I would recommend only getting it if you are fairly experianced.

I'm going to race stadium trucks..... i know jato is fast but i dont want something i can't handle.... what are some good stadium trucks?

I've heard the same thing. If your looking for a Stadium truck, Id go with the Rc10gt. Lots of hopups available. I had two of these actually, and really like them. I found them kinda boring for bashing (At least on my terrain) but would be a blast to race.

Need to know a truck to

I'm looking at trucks to i think i want to get a savage but can someone help me i might want to get a jato is that a good car. I dont want a revo but can someone recomended something.

The jato boasts about 55MPH out of the box. I have seen them in action (one of the first r/c races I ever saw) and they really are somthing to marvel at. I would think ou should get a revo or A Savage, they are an all around awesome rig.

Scroll up. Basically what has been said to HPI I personally would tell to anyone. Again if your looking to strictly bash, gotta go with the Savage. If ya wanna race in the MT class, and be a weekend basher, Revo. If ya want a stadium truck, Id suggest the Rc10gt. I've heard the Jato is hella fast, but handles like a brick with wheels. Rc10gt and XXXnt have been around for a couple years and have proved themselves to be awesome rigs.

Decisions , Decisions , ???… how do you think the jato would do on the track with better tires and some tuning? the revo is out of my price range….

if i was you guys i would get the nitro rustler because that thing is wicked fast, with the right graes you can easily get it to 60+ in no time

gears my bad

i had a similar decision, i ended up buying the HPI MT 2 18SS, and now i kinda wish i would have gotten the Jato. The 18ss HAULS ARSE, but i can't race in stadium truck classes which sucks. Do as these guys are telling you, take their advice i agree with what everyone is saying:
Bashing -- go for the savage
Racing Stadium -- go with the RC10 or XXXnt
Running around fast with friends in different terrain -- Hpi Mt2 18SS

***P.s. putting a quick "plug" in here: if anyone knows of anyone that wants to trade for my pretty much NIB Hpi Mt2 18ss, for a Jato, let me know..no servos will be included but i will throw in a JR Xs3 Synth. Radio w/receiver (best bang for the buck, type radio)!!!***

If it were me I would save a little more money and buy the Revo.

What is the top speed of a savage .25 out of the box and is 400 a good price for one

Yes. RC10GT or Nitro Rustler for the second. They're extremely cheap and the only diffrence between the Jao & the rustler is that the rustler only has a one speed as the Jato has a 2.

Have Fun!
