lol
do u know if the t maxx comes with everything u need to start it?
can't find it anywhere

I don't think you are looking very hard. You sound lazy and want us to do all of the work for you. If you went to traxxas' website you would have your answer in about 30 seconds.

If you're wanting 4wd and 1/8 scale, you absolutely cannot beat the OFNA Ultra LX2 RTR for under $300. All you have to add is a glow igniter, radio batteries and fuel. Quick, tough as nails, great (cheap) parts availability and excellent customer service.

I'm a big time Associated guy, but OFNA has been in the 1/8 nitro buggy game for a long time, and they make a very good product.

If you just have to have a monster truck, might consider the Losi Aftershock for an economical RTR. The stock engine isn't overly powerful, but the truck will run ~35mph, and they're pretty tough. I have the Mega Baja (same chassis), been pretty happy with it.

If you're going to be bashing in really rough fields or tall grass, yeah, you'll want a monster truck. But with some heavy oil in the diffs, these 1/8 buggies are pretty darn capable.

The two beastiest 1/8 monsters are the Associated MGT 8.0 (.50 engine) and the CEN GST 7.7 (.46 engine). They're big, they're powerful, and they're tough. They also have reverse, which is nice in a basher. These two trucks make a T-Maxx or Revo look dinky.

Scroll down to see the GST next to a Revo:

those cars look great but wayy out of the price range (under 400)

Another $89 gets you the MGT 8.0 on eBay or Amazon, including shipping.

Under $400, I'd look at the Kyosho Madforce, the Losi Aftershock or the Associated MGT 4.6SE.

There's always used, too; Buy a roller for $100 or so, then slap a nasty big block in it for $150-$200 (like the LRP ZR.32) and add a Flysky GT3C radio system for $60.

Tower hobbies site says the tmaxx comes with an extra glow plug, fuel bottle and 110v charger for the ez start battery. As far as monster trucks in your price range; that Team Associated mgt 4.6 is a good truck. If I was buying a monster truck under 400, that's probably what I would get. If you wanted to spend more money, then get the hpi savage.

Thanks for your guys help the mad force isn't nitro and the t maxx Classic is the same size as the mgt 4.6 and it's 1/8 too why is that?

The mgt 4.6 is about 3 inches longer and an inch of so wider that the classic tmaxx. The scale system the makers use is pretty loose sometimes it seems.

Ok I see and why do u say that the mgt 4.6 is better than the classic

I have friends with both. One has a mgt 4.6 and the other has a tmaxx. And from what I have seen the maxx can't hang with mgt. The maxx just isn't very tough from what I've seen. A lot of people like the tmaxx and that's fine but I have to go with what I've seen with my own to eyes.

So your saying the build quality is better what about speed

Not necessarily better built but beefier parts. The Revo is one of best handling M/Ts on the market.

As far as speed; that's hard for me to say. We bash in a pretty tight area, so the trucks don't really get going before your on the brakes in a turn or hitting a jump. The mgt does have more power tho.

The Revo is one of best handling M/Ts on the market.

The Revo is really more of a truggy than a monster truck. A lot of their stability comes from their weight, though-over 10 lbs. Not a bad choice for a beginner who wants to bash and play on the track, but they're not as capable in bashing terms as a real 1/8 MT, and nowhere near as agile as a race-bred truggy like the Losi 8ight truggy or Associated RC8T.

lol i didnt say revo i said t maxx classic
are truggys good offroad at all? it seem so samll?

do you guys think a truggy is the best to get?

do u guys think the jato 3.3 is any good?

do u guys think the jato 3.3 is any good?

For what you intend to do, no. It is basically a stadium truck that has been altered for on-road use. Low chassis height and 2wd. If you think a 1/8 4WD buggy will be insufficient in terms of ground clearance and traction, then don't even consider the Jato or other stadium trucks.
