i was wanting to get a mini just for in my livingroom . what mini would be good for jumps and tough for under 200$ ?

well i have three of the recons....bought them for the surrounding kids to play with (son's cousins and what not)...they have ran the crap out of them...2 of them haven't had a single problem...the other one is the problem child...but so is the driver lol...hes a little hard on equipment...it has broken the steering arm twice and just recently he broke and lost one of his front axles...now all of these are to be expected really but what i didn't expect was the cost of the parts...i can buy parts for my revo cheaper than the recon...and you said you were wanting something for in the living room...the recon is a pretty quick little truck for its size...IMO to fast to really play with in any room in the average house without bouncing off of everything...it took me by surprise when i saw how quick it was...the kids play with the in the driveway and yard, they have a ball with them...over all i think they are a great little rig the only real problem i have with them is the price of the parts and i havent really seen any hop up parts for them either...not sayin there isnt any just havent seen them myself in the small amount of looking i have done...if i wanted something to play with indoors i would get a micro of some kind or a mini crawler....i have just got into crawlers and they are perfect for indoor play....hop some of that helped....later.

The Mini Recon is a nice little truck, but it's a bit big to run in the living room, IMO. The Losi Micro series (either 1/36 or 1/24 scale) are great for indoors because they are so small.

The losi 1/24 short course truck with lipo upgrade would be good, and well under 200 bucks.

thanks for the info i will most likely go with a 1/24 sclae but has anyone heard of the helion animus? i see good things about them on youtube.

yup definitely stick with one of the 1/24 for inside running. The mini recon is awsome and I haven't broke anything yet and I have easily 20 packs of bashing through it, but as stated above it is too fast to try and run around a living room, hell honestly in even a huge home it would take maybe 3 seconds to go from one side of your living room to the other if that.

I'd stick with a known, respected brand for after the sale parts support. Just my .02

either the 1/36 or the 1/24 scale micro are good for the living room. Dont go brushless with them though....brushless is too fast for living room play....I break mine everytime I try and play with it in the living room. It was fine before I went brushless.

+1 a micro with brushless and LiPo = uncontrollable chaos inside. I'm waiting for a bit nicer weather to run my Micro SCT outside.

i just bought the 1/24 scale sct but it seems pretty slow :\ is there a cheap easy way to make it faster?

The LiPo pack will pep up the performance on the stock ESC and motor, but you want to keep an eye on it to prevent the voltage from going too low.

Thanks for all the help. Can you recommend a Lipo that would fit?

Can I charge thar Lipo on my thunder charger or is it to small?
