What is this called and how to tell what brand to buy?

Hi all,

My son just drove into a post and snapped the part in the photo.
Could someone please tell me what it is called? Better still is there an online resource that has an exploded diagram that labels all the parts to save me bothering people here all the time?

The other thing I'm thinking is to upgrade to metal ones rather than plastic if possible.
How would I need to measure the part to know what other brands would work or is there some other way to know what to buy as a replacement?
The car is a HBX (Haiboxing) Volcano 1/10 scale.

Found the parts and have ordered them.

Remove the pins from the output shaft and the sliding shaft will move together and you will be able to remove them. You have to take off the wheel and hub also. The output shafts are where the axle shaft hook up to the differentials
