What does everyone recommend??

So I have the Traxxas Maxx V2 and I took it out today and within 10 minutes the wheel just flew off. I wasn’t jumping it nothing crazy just ripping up and down the driveway. What should i replace it with do i go aluminum? What do you guys recommend?

That wasn't a wheel problem. You broke your axle. Was there a bad crash or bad landing during you last run before running it this time?

Also what temp was it? Plastic gets brittle in the cold.

Replace with stock parts. If it keeps happening, then I'd look at getting the CV driveshats, and/or optional hubs. Did the axle snap at the drive pin?

I agree to replace it with stock parts for now and I also agree, at some point it took a bad hit and cracked.

was about 75 degrees out wasn’t cold

That is possible however i don't know i just grabbed it yesterday so not to sure.

If so, there's no telling when it was initially damaged.

If you are trying to 'self-right' your RC after it rolls, you'll be replacing a LOT of axles.

I bought it from a hobby shop I was told the guy bought it the day before then decided he wanted to trade it in for the XMaxx. And ok thank you i’ll take a look.
