Here we go, I emailed them a picture of the charger not charging the battery and said this: It either shows a red error code or it blinks red and green as if there is no battery connected at all. It charges the other battery as it should with no issues.
The response: We need to be sure the pack is the issue and not the charger, a meter to check the pack or even a different charger giving the same result could confirm the battery is the issue.

Here is my reply:
Doesn’t the fact that the charger works fine with the other included battery prove that the charger isn’t the issue? The truck came with two batteries. One is working and charging as it should and the other won’t do anything.

I only have the one charger that was included with the truck, and the one that came with the tyhpon grom. I don’t have a voltage checker that will work with these batteries.

Now I’m getting crickets. Figure I can document them busting my balls over this as useful information for others…

I get that they only want to make sales and not handle returns. Esp things like defective lipo batteries.
On occasion tho, they need to respect that their products like these are designed specifically to attract noobs (without tools) to RC.

If buying a meter ia no big deal to Spektrum, surely they can supply you with one for free.
They are a multimillion dollar electronics company.
How many million did you clear in sales this week?

I agree that they should hook me up with a checker or even one of their nicer chargers over this but that ain’t happening.

Well they certainly did try to make me buy one, or a new charger…to prove the battery they already sold me was defective

Each piece purchased is one step deeper into their world, their game. I'm glad you didn't buy in!
I'm much happier with the freedom to choose my own brands.
