I think Redcat has come a long way as far as their crawlers.
I have the Gen 7 and Everest 10, they are awesome.
I also have a Tornado s30 nitro that is still in pieces in a box. Biggest pile of crapola's I've ever owned.

This one is the best. Hands down.

Out of those 3 I have a hard time picking between Arrma and Traxxas. I like both brands pretty equally. Redcat is junk imho. You can make a case for the crawlers but since crawlers are harder to break anyway, it doesn't really factor in to my opinion of them.

That being said I think there are better companies than those 3 out there.

Team Associated is my goto. I just resurrected my RC10B3. Super fast with a lipo and brushed motor. Love my RC10GTs. Also have a RC18T2. All great cars. I do own some Traxxas and Losi. I have been impressed with the durability of Arrma. Had one and bashed the crap out of it.

I like Traxxas super tough wide part selection Arrma is good but they are in a weird gray area for me like they want to appeal to bashers and people who wanna race but instead of that in my opinion they don't achieve either very well they do have the the best looks out of the 3 now Redcat......... what needs to be said?

Traxxas is my favorite by far since their vehicles are very consistent in terms of performance, and quality, they offer a wide variety of vehicles (Crawlers, SCTs, Monster Trucks, Touring Cars, etc.), and I really like the design of their cars. However, that doesn't mean Traxxas is the best company. It's really relative to your own opinion, and what you want from an RC car.

So that is a totally trick loaded question.. It doesn't matter which is the best RC... because your missing a ton of companies.. got to add axial tekno. Redcat
Losi. Traxxas. Mugen
Hpi. Associated. Armma
Tamiya. Kyosho

I know I'm missing some here but.. its not fair to ask what's the best... in my eyes not one RC is the so called BEST.. its what the person is looking for in the RC hobby. OH wait Lego... from nitro to gas to electric and from racing cars, road/street cars , crawling, short course truck MT, buggies, truggies, tanks, machinery, there is literally a sh*t load of different types models and brands. Because I can't even think of the brand over seas... but I got to go with ALL OF THEM really sorry But I have redcat tamyia kyosho traxxas and soon arrma if I can get past the aluminum chassis and parts... if wolf keeps posting videos of the Kra8 might be sooner then later 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I agree. This will vary from person to person. I love my Kyosho's and in my eyes, there isn't a better made kit (speaking of the legendary kits of course). But I also love my WPL stuff, even though they are the biggest piles of 💩 on the planet. I love a challenge, and the WPL's are just that. The Kyosho stuff appeals to the machinist in me because I haven't seen a kit come with nicer, better fitting parts. And the machining on their parts is just beautiful. They are made nicer than IndyCar parts, and I would know, because I made a lot of those lol.

The Traxxas, Arrma, Axial, and even the new Losi and Kyosho stuff has so much plastic in them to give people the ability to jump 50' in the air. It seems all the RC manufacturers have gone that route. So I can't look at any of the newer stuff and say that is the best RC out there because they just don't make them like I am used to.

And to me, that is where my dislike of Traxxas kinda started. They were all RTR (I am a builder), plastic, and just seemed like they were ruining the RC industry pumping out all these plastic RC's. Which if you think about it, everyone has tried to keep up with them and you can see Traxxas in a lot of RC design these days. Fast forward to today, and I can see that Traxxas has stuck it out. They have produced some great cars and they still make parts for cars that are 20+ years old. Kudos to them for that, seriously. That will change if Horizon ever buys them out.

You forgot to mention Vanquish. I have never owned one but maybe some day I will. Watching build vids on the Vanquish stuff, they look like great kits. A little pricey though, but aren't they made mostly in the US?

There are lots of great companies out there, personally I prefer kits, or if an RTR, something that is "kit like" in construction. Though I own a few Traxxas trucks, I'm not a huge fan of their RTR plastic, and ditto with Arma. Both companies seem to appeal to the people that just want to send their rigs flying off into the sky with abandon. I bought Traxxas because I knew I could upgrade nearly every part on them. I'm not a fan of their engines at all - so many better options, and I feel as if their popularity actually hurt the nitro scene when everyone and their brother had a TMaxx and Revo, only to become completely frustrated and put off, or defeated when people were blasting them with O.S. and Ofna powered versions.

I own a Redcat Hurricane nitro buggy, and it's actually not a badly built machine, and with a .28, it's a screamer. Those things can hold their own, though they'll suck fuel down faster than a .21 powered Inferno or Serpent. The radio was garbage though, lol. Sadly that buggy sits collecting dust, and I poached the SH .28 to use in one of my Dragonoid trucks.

Although RTR, I really love how the Kyosho Mad Series vehicles are built, especially the current ones with the 5-link suspension. There are some things they should improve, but it's a great looking and performing machine. Kyosho gets a nod for being soldiers of nitro. I also have to through HPI in there, since they seem to be back, and the Savage is probably the best RTR IS monster truck, IMO.

Though I don't own one, the Losi LMT looks like hands-down the best monster truck platform in several ways. Overall, I think Losi and Associated have to be considered among the best "large" producers of RC vehicles.

But c'mon, if we are talking kits, and what a company did for RC, we cannot forget Tamiya!

My son and I just built a Tamiya TT02. I sunk over $250 in upgrades into that chassis, and I still don't care for it. And if you take a screw out, good luck getting it to get a bite when you put it back in. Self-tapping screws in my opinion is the first sign of a toy. It amazes me that they have some of the most detailed and beautiful lexan bodies in RC, yet they skimp out and fall way short when it comes to the mechanical side of things. But you are right, they should be included here as they have had some winners like the Bruiser, albeit way overpriced.

I have past the days of being too brand loyal, every brand has winners and losers. Buy what makes you happy. That's the beauty of having a choice.

Our tastes change as we learn and grow, so why limit yourself to whatever is the popular flavor of the week. I like to try new things, but when you find something that works for you I understand sticking with it. Right now I'm really diggin' my Element RC Crawlers, but there are other brands out there that I want as well. Enjoy your freedom of choice! (insert Devo song here)
