Traxxas corvette stingray is getting some upgrades!

I've already replaced the stock receiver with a spectrum sr315 so I could bind it to my dx5c.

I'm going to be taking out the titan 12t 550 motor for a traxxas Velineon.

The xl5 esc will be replaced with a vxl-3s.

But enough babble, I'm going to get to wrenching!
Stock stuff out. Ready for MORE POWER!

Motor is in.

Time to take care of that traxxas connector.

I don't have any batteries with this so I'll swap it with something I do. Goodbye traxxas warranty!

It looks great. And I guess it's a whole new setup by traxxas. I was unimpressed by the power and stock electronics. Top speed was 26mph, and the range of the radio was 30ish ft. I'll have a video of the stock setup coming out soon.

Took it out today with the sr315 receiver and range was a great improvement as I expected. I also had those drift tires on there which was a lot of fun. Poor brushed motor just got too hot too quick. So I knew I had to do the upgrades tonight

EC5 connector added, ready for my 3s batteries and to be installed... almost done!

Little piece needs to be cut to fit in the sr315.

Esc mount screws won't tighten down. Gonna mount it the old fashioned way with some double sided tape.

I'll clean everything up with denatured alcohol so the tape has a good stick (it's even traxxas colors ).

All cleaned up.

All set! Time to toss a battery in and make sure everything is bound and works!

Might have to stick to 2s until I can mod the battery mount...

Stingray 3s is all setup! Quick little rip in the shop and this thing has POWER!

New stickers, I almost didn't want to "ruin" the body. But they can always come off later.
