What are the rules? I race a bunch of slash chassis setup for oval. Usually the rules will.cover what motors and ESC.etc.
It is Stadium vehicles only circuit. Basically, the battery must be in stock location, he motor must be the same "can" size s oiginal , you can mod any suspension and frame extension but the main frame must be of stock value. Lighting must not be a distraction to other participants. Must use stock controller (Except for 1 Army veteran I have who has a wrist injury and claims his modified controller feels better in his hand) Use of anti lock brakes, traction control, or any other driving enhancement features offered by controls is prohibited, but it is basically an honour system. Tyres, I am taking on a cases by case, but since this is kind of a low rent league, we try to run only "affordable" tyres. Beyond that, I am currently allowing any motor performance, no horsepower restriction, as long as you can handle it. If your motor /gearing proves too much to handle and is causing hazards, the driver will be asked to "de-tune" to a controllable performance level by means of re-gearing,less motor performance, or throttle restriction or training mode of the esc or controller.
Currently, any stadium vehicle will qualify out of the box, but must have 2 headlights (white, yellow) up front, and at least 1 tail light (red , blue, green). I got a kid who wants to race an X Ray, and even though it qualifies with a carbon chassis, I told him not to come crying to me if t crashes and turns into splinters. If he ever shows up, it might not take long to vote that only plastic chassis will qualify, or make it a Rustler only league, since every vehicle is a Rustler. I suppose weight specifications could also keep things fair.
I try to be diplomatic and progressive.
Hope this helps.
