Max5 is Hobbywing. The only systems Castle has that cost that much are 8s combos. The XLX2 and its predecessor, the MonsterX I think. I'm still running 2 XLX2's in 1/5 trucks.

That's right! Duh, my bad. All the Hobbywing / Castle talk I got it switched up. Hobbywing even has a Max4. I was thinking of the Castle Cobra 5, 12s. Got my 5s mixed up.

Castle does have a field card for surface stuff. I have one, works fine. So do all 3 of my Bluetooth links and the inline programmer for the pc when you use the right usb cable. I'm sure Relic01 is right, its a big conspiracy. They know he bought their 'junk' and are now ignoring his phone calls. Couldn't have anything to do with the holidays and being overly busy. We should all start bashing castle, those dirty no good sons a .....

I have a castle Copperhead, Mamba X, Monster X, and a Mamba XLX2. I have used the same castle link USB that they sent me with a free coupon. I programmed them when I initially got them to set my preferred throttle and brake curves. They have all been running perfect for years. I have no need fornthe Bluetooth to change things on the fly.

I thought I'd mention that I fired an email to HobbyWing on black friday, HW answered that and a follow up email in time for me to get the sale price.
They have EXCEPTIONAL customer service so far imo.
That goes a LONG way with me.

I am not trying to claim that Castle is a shady company. I HAVE been burned by a few total sh!t companies tho. It seems like lately, there are more scams than legit companies.

I understand the frustration of not getting replies and more importantly, getting this resolved.
It PISSES ME OFF when companies play with MY money.

I agree totally. I was upset the first time my $300 XLX2 took a dump 2 months into life. B+ supply popped right off the board. I was mad, Castle sucks, blah blah blah and so on. Then I take it to castle, they inspect it, hand me a brand new one in the box, and life is good again. Turns out it was my fault. I didn't secure my wiring properly, which Castle pointed out, and still covered it. To me, that's great customer service. I can't say enough good about them. I will always lean towards Castle over HW in the future. Again, I may be a bit biased as Castle HQ is 30 min from where I work and the CS rep that helped me is kinda hot.

I have the xlx2 , brand new out of the box , I just talked with a main , they sent castle a work ticket n my name , prolly get results some time in the spring off the subject a little bit here , but have you guys seen all the fake rc adds on facepage and you tube, good lessons there , if its to good to be true it prolly is , just makes us all scared to deal on line at all DAMIT!! But hey !! You can get a Arrma big rock for $116 , I’ll take 4
