I've just bought a 1/10 scale buggy remote and I'm trying to charge it up but the red light keeps on going off

Did you check the volt the battery has? It's mostly supposed to be more than officially stands on the battery. If it does not run, the problem maybe is not the battery. Mostly when red light goes off, the battery should be charged
