Lot of variable there. Weight of the rig, mAh of the battery, motor and gearings setup, etc will all vary the run time. Typically, on our 6s Kraton we maybe get 10-15 minutes run time out of two 5200mAh batteries. The higher the mAh the battery is, the longer the run time, technically. But higher mAh batteries typically weigh more, so that cuts into the benefit of higher mAh batteries a little.I should prob buy a premium membership on here. I have a hunch I’m gonna be on a lot.
And there’s a local hobby store nearby that I’m gonna take my son to so we can see some trucks in person. But I still plan on buying our stuff online as the hobby shop is much more expensive.
And I think I will go with a Traxxas charger and battery setup. I’ll have to see which ones are recommended. How long do LiPo’s last as far as run time?
I highly recommend not going down the Traxxas battety and charger route. I'm not even sure if the Traxxas chargers allow you to see your lipo battery's internal resistance value, and that is an important feature of a LiPo charger. All LiPo batteries degrade over time. And keeping an eye on your IR's is the only way to really know when you LiPo is at risk of going poof and burning your home down, or melting your RC kit.
The guy tries to stomp the fire out
LiPo's produce their own oxygen. There is no putting that fire out.
