Traxxas E-Revo and Summit have been discontinued

It drags its fanny like an ill-mannered chihuahua, wallows like an ocean liner, and has more body roll than an Axial. If this was my Kraton I would be horrified. On an E-revo it's what makes the truck so fun to drive. Old school monster trucks are a fun drive, I see them coming back at some point. E-revo 3.0, maybe a Losi 3XL 2.0?

Soooo... Associated is RE REing the RC10GT. I don't think nitro is dying, its shifting.
I also think/hope more ppl are getting over 'bashing'-sending an rc off a skateramp to see if you can find all the parts afterwards...
to 'bashing'-having some fun and banging around a few jumps in a field or a back yard, no search and rescue required. Heading back towards actual racing maybe even???
Nitro racing is awesome and will continue to be. Its got an undeniable realism to it. The noise, smell and power ARE R/C racing!
Watching a track full of these things run was a LOT of fun!!! I never actually got mine on a track. ☹️
(I still love my 1/10 carpet cars tho! 🤣)
My Revo 3.3 was awesome until I blew the trans out of it. Easy fix with Jennys and FOC kits.
I LOVED how tough and fast that thing was! The angry mosquito motor smoking away, banging shifts at 30mph on the dirt driveway with no signs of topping out the throttle!!!
If Traxxas discontinues the Revo, it'll be the end of my interest in them really.
The Revo is a great design. I just can't see them dumping it.

I hope they don't as I just re acquired the Revo 3.3 that my buddy Wes gave me before passing away. I traded it for 2 slash 2wds and an ecx amp 2wd. I electric converted it before I traded it, and I just got it back trading a slash 4x4 for it.

I love the way they drive and handle. The body roll is just so cool to me. Feels like a trophy truck with Independent suspension all around. I plan to fully build it into the ultimate basher using all RPM arms—especially the true track kit.

Even if they did. The revo has been out 20 years. Parts are gonna be there for a few years atleast even if they stopped production today. 🙃
Is it true they were created to be the top dog in the monster truck racing class?

Ohhhhh do a built thread for it!!!! I'd love to see this done again! These trucks handle offroad so well! I love how mine jumps too! The suspension works great! 😎
It might inspire me to dust mine off too! 🤔👍

I'll get some pics tonight and start a build thread.

The lay-down shock design is similar to Formula 1 cars. Lower ceter of gravity. I believe that part is true.
The 2 speed trans can be an issue. A lot of tracks only allow single speed transmissions (used to at least) because these and 3 speed Savage had unfair advantages🙄🤣.
Single speed, forward only conversions, single speed, metal gears, opti drive delete and getting rid of the onboard smart start system were all common.
I think the OS 11k is still the carb everyone recommends as a great upgrade.

I think it was a dream they had in their head. It shot to the top in popularity, and the slaydens raced them i believe. They had hopup and setup artyicles on racing it way back when. Then it seems everyone bailed on m/ts and jumped on the shortcuts band wagon.

I locked the 2 speed into 2nd gear and I have the forward only conversion kit coming today

This all leaves me feeling so jaded towards the RC vehicle hobby. I have the Revo VXL 2.0, and it's a total beast! I really enjoy it! Nope, people who aren't me decide to basically screw me out of 500 bucks I spent buying the RTR version by discontinuing it. This will eventually make parts for it unattainable. This poop happens, and the RC hobby becomes tantamount to literally throwing your money away, based on the whim of marketing. 🤬
