Hi there I've burned up my traxxas motor in my 1/16th revo and was wondering what some other motors are best for it? thankyou.

I would recommend a brushless system. I assume yours is brushed?
A 380 size brushless 4000 kv would be a good start. That's what is recommended from Traxxas.
I would go with a Castle system though.

Id put the Castle Sidewinder SCT ESC and 1410 3800kv motor combo in it but in order to do that you'll have to order some extra parts.
Traxxas 7077R
Traxxas 7090
Traxxas 7060
You'll also want to switch to using a lipo battery instead of the NiMH pack that comes with the brushed MERV.

All that being said I'm not sure how the brushed transmission will hold up to brushless power. You can start out with it but you may have to replace it and other drive line parts with the VXL version if they brushed versions dont hold up.

The numbers below should be for the titan 12t 550 motor.

With that said, I agree big block. The tranny should hold up fine. Mines been 2 and 4wd, torque and speed tranny setup, and full throttled all on 3s with a 4150kv. The summit drive shafts worked best for me compared to the rally and erevo.

I have yet to instal my copperhead 2280kv for fear of grenading the tranny.

If you would rather stay 380, Id go castle esc and a Nue motor. Used to be the hot ticket back when, I just didnt have 125 for a motor.

I would strongly suggest 380 motor instead of 540, it a very light weight car and it doesn't need a lot of power but motor is very high so every gram of weight savings will strongly benefit handling. In mine I used some super old hobbyking 45amp esc but hobbywing will be a nice match. For motor use 2845 motor, I think it was around 3200kv so I had to gear it up a little. The only issue was bolt spacing, I had to Dremel motor plate a mm or two for holes to align. On 2s really nice speed, motor ice cold after a whole pack. Most 2200mah should fit battery compartment

It dont have the stock motor but i was thinking castle mini x2 but idk if its too much power

The ESC is to small for that kit as well. Id put a Castle Sidewinder V3 in it for an ESC regardless of whether you chose to put a 380 or 540 sized motor in it.
