thunder tiger .21

Has anbody ever had experience with a thunder tiger .21 engine? A guy that I work with has one heis willing to give to me for my T-maxx if it will fit. I blew up the 3.3 in mine. Was wondering if it would be worth trying to fit in. Thanks

The TT 21 is a BB engine and the TMAXX uses small blocks. If you are going to use it, then you will need a BB conversion kit. If you really want to up your game, then may I suggest getting an OS 18TM or a Sirio 23?

No get a OS TZ.18 The thundertiger .21 engine is a good workhorse motor but not a race motor.

i have a tiger 21 in 2 of my schumachers i have allways found them really good, i do not have a wide range in engines thou, whats this os 18? i hear the brand os a lot how are they better? do they rev higher? very interested please

Without tossing a ton of money at the maxx, the .21 would shred your drivetrain almost at will. The OS 18 would be about the best match for the truck. If you have the 2.5 or 3.3 maxx, it'll be a direct drop in.
